Exclamation Fort Mcmurray fire

All you Ft.Mac people. Hope you are safe.
For others: City on fire 80 000 evacuated. 4.5 hr drive to Edmonton. No fuel left in stations on the way.
Red Cross in Edmonton could use some cash, feel free to donate.

My nephew is a rig welder there now. They got kicked out of their camp rooms so evacuees can have a place.
He took his rig and fucked off south.

The kid is supposed to send me some better pics of his escape.
On a better note, the jeep has been trouble free for a while. Time to get it field tested.

Really sad stuff from up there. I don't even see any talk of containment. Looks like it just can't be stopped anytime soon. The evac pics/ videos are nightmarish. Good luck to everyone up in that area.

I heard a few officials report that there is no real way for humans to stop it. That part of Alberta is far from flat. Water bombers and tankers are said to be ineffective because the heat (1400 to 1800 F) evaporates the foam/water before it hits the wood.
As tragic as it is for some locals, fire is how that type of boreal forest propagates.

Yeah when the fires out their get that hot the ash mixes with the clouds and then we get lightening storms which are never good when it's that dry out their .

Well my jeep is just about ready for a trail test itself. Been about 9 months since I've been out cause of my build lol
