2N17X to Pilot Rock Sunday 9/28

For those that would like to go and do not know the trail.

From Dirtopia:
This trail is rated most difficult. This trail starts near the Cedar Springs day use area near Silverwood Lake, where it forks off from 2N33 Pilot Rock Truck Trail, then meets back up to meet with 2N33 before Pilot Rock.

A full sized truck will run a higher risk of body damage in the tight areas. Lockers are not needed but will help in some areas. Good ground clearance is a must. On most of the numerous climbs there are different skill level paths all rolled into one.

Trip Details:

Meeting Point A, For those coming from the IE or Victorville we are going to meet up at 8AM at the McDonalds at the HWY 138 / I15 exit.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=34.308969,-117.470155&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=34.308 509,-117.468524&sspn=0.008969,0.019226&ie=UTF8&ll=34.30 8969,-117.470155&spn=0.008968,0.019226&t=h&z=16

Meeting Point B, For those coming from any other route that does not want to meet at Meeting Point A, we will meet at meeting point B around 8:30AM, we will meet at the day use area just just after (east of) Silverwood Dam off HWY 173.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=&daddr=34.305354,-117.310209&hl=en&geocode=&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz =16&sll=34.304042,-117.307398&sspn=0.008969,0.019226&ie=UTF8&ll=34.30 4946,-117.310767&spn=0.008969,0.019226&t=h&z=16

(The run commences at Pilot Rock Trail Head coords. 34 18 18.5 / 117 18 32.0)

I would anticipate at least 3 hours on the trail, but this will increase with the number of JEEPS.

We will run Channel 10. If you don't get us at Meeting Point A go to Meeting Point B, we will be there longer airing down tires and what not.

This trail has bypasses for the Hard Obstacles so don't be scared Lensman.

The line you should watch closely, cuz it is the one you cannot follow.

You will do great no matter if you get stuck. I will help you and everything will be good.

I better wear my seeing glasses so, I can make sure your doing it right when I have to spot for you again. Yes, I will have my tow straps, you know I have had plenty of practice pulling Hummers off the trails. So, I am sure your Jeep will be no problem. Just in case, I have the winch.

See Ya in the morn.

Great run everyone. Was a blast. Took the passenger rail off and reinforced the mounts, straightened out best as possible. Rattle canned the bumpers. And submitted her to a $5 bath.
