Damn, I'll be out of the area.

I support the military, fiscal responsibility, Hemp, legalization of Marijuana over 21, smaller government and the Bill of Rights.

If my heep is fixed i may be in.....

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

Is it ok if I bring my dogs? I tried looking online and couldn't find anything saying to not bring pets. I'll have them restrained in the back seat with harnesses and I'll have poop bags to clean up after them.

Sure!
We have had dogs with us before.
Just beware the last dog got real confused and jumped in about 5 different jeeps

Great! Glad they can come. We'll keep an eye on them and so they won't be hopping in everyone else's Jeeps

Nice quote in your signature, by the way. Love that movie.

Herm, this is about a 6 hr drive for me... but I haven't been riding in forever, so I'm tempted. What all would I be able to expect from this ride? I wouldn't mind a bit of a challenge, but I definitely can't afford to break anything, seeing as it's so far from home and such.

URE is as challenging as you make it. It can be everything from dirt roads to some pretty decent climbs. There's nothing at URE anymore that a pretty much stock vehicle cant do.....

Hey guys. I was wondering if rainfall cancels off-roading trips in URE. I know that it's not considerate to ride on mountain bike trails during and after some rain, but don't know if the same unwritten rule applies to a national forest and off-road vehicles.

Yeah, that'd be good to know for sure. I've decided to come, assuming the weather's not prohibitive.

Nope!
Rain just makes it more fun IMO.
It gets real slick and the easy trails get a lot more challenging and fun, the hard ones get a little hairy.

Sorry to hear that, Sonic. If you want to ride along, I could pick you up in Columbia. Keep in mind, it'd be early as heck in the morning... haha. Also, if I broke something, you'd be stranded a while. Regardless, sorry about the trans. I had to miss 2 trips due to a driveshaft and axleshaft replacement about 6 months back. Not fun.
I may have two buddies ride along with me on Sunday... does one land use permit cover the whole vehicle? Or do we all have to pay individually?

The land use permit covers the vehicle and all occupants.

Sweet. So aside from gas, this is a pretty cheap trip. lol. Speaking of, I assume the outpost will have fuel? or should I gas up before meeting up there? Sorry for the million questions, but a lot of this stuff goes into deciding how early I have to leave to get there. Don't want you guys waitin on me lol

From what I saw online, the outpost is a gas station. I've never been there before, it's just what I saw when I looked it up on an online map.

The outpost has everything you need. Day pass, gas, water, air, food and it is the closest place to the trails.
