Uwharrie Virgin

I am looking at going to Uwharrie and am looking for some info. I wanna camp on Badin Lake. Looking for access fees, access locations to OHV area and etc. Will also be hiking while I am there so would appreciate any info to that end as well.

Thanks,

Chuck

My first stop would be El Dorado Outpost on 109.. You can get your trail passes and the map of the Forest there.. As for camping, Go here.. http://www.recreation.gov/ You will then be able to reserve a spot.. Badin Lake, Arrowhead.. Or you can camp on the trail for nothing.. Also, don't wheel alone.. My last trip, we helped out some college students in a Modified XJ.. They got stuck and was glad we came along...

The first post is great news.. Second post.. Yeah.. We saw a lot of beer cans.. I picked up a lot of trash like that.. Besides littering is a bad thing... Drinking and wheeling never go hand in hand.. Always bring out what you bring.. And try to leave with more trash then you took in..

Sorry.. Back on topic..
