Question Pigeon Forge, TN, Gatlinburg, TN, & Cherokee, NC ADVICE NEEDED

Wife and I are getting a rental car at the end of March and planning on going to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Cherokee, NC (casino's).

Got any advice to share? I haven't been there since the mid 80's so i know things have changed. I just remember a few restuarants, candy shops, and indians.

Where to stay and where to stay away from?

Links would be helpful, so i can send it to the wifey.

There's a lot of you Florida boys coming up to Pigeonforge lately. Whats up ? am I missing something?. I havent been there since the mid 80's myself. The traffic keeps me away more than anything

I have a jeep and it goes over shit.

Lotsa stuff to do up there. Silver Dollar City is now Dollywood, lots of theaters to see. The Ripley's aquarium is decent and there's snow skiing to be had at Ober. GSMNP if you like the outdoors and there's shopping out the ass.

LOL I've just noticed this too.

We are wanting to do a road trip and I thought it would be neat to go back. I wanted to take another cruise, but the wife wants to go up north and Pigeon Forge is with in the budget, so what the hell? Right?. LOL!!!

Thanks for tips.
I've already been on the sight and got the visitor guide book yesterday. I want to go and do white river rafting again, probably a bad time of the year, but do you know of any places doing it?

The biggest thing is the hotel. I'm pretty sure we are going to stay in Pigeon Forge I know of US441/Parkway... Is there any hotel with good views...possibly with the river view? We will do day trips to Gatlinburg and Cherokkee. I want to go to Harrah's Casino for a few hours and of course do a hike in the mountains....

I'm in pigeon forge now.

Good God...how many pancake breakfast places can there be?

If anybody is in the area... Look for the 2010 impala with florida tags.

Cool as shit driving through the mountains. We saw snow for the first time in like 12 years !
