GWNF Nov 21

October's JKFest invasion is a distant memory. 4 weeks of family events and 2 more weeks to follow are going to drive me (even more) insane if I don't wheel soon. Have never been to GWNF and think I should go. I know you guys here go often so I'm putting it out there. November 21, GWNF. Post up!
I suppose we should post up one of those lists...

I'm off the 21st but will have to see what the wifey had in mind that weekend...what kind of trails are you looking to run??? Unless it's completely dry and has been for atleast a week and you have a good clean pair of underwear I wouldn't try Dictums atleast not going up, it's getting too rutted out and it's almost to the point where unless you have a pretty built rig (lockers front/rear winch and atleast 35's) it's not even going to be enjoyable. Then you have the other extreme of flagpole which is nothin more then a fire road with only like 2 spots to even give you a semi chub on excitement. Flagpole does have some fantastic views though if you're into that kind of thing. If you want to stay alittle closer to home there's Peter's Mill in Edinburg which for the first time is pretty cool, but if you're only running a couple rigs will only take like 2-3 hrs to run. I've been wanting to try another trail which is in Strasburg (yet even closer) called state line. They say the actual trail is really nice but it's getting pretty overgrown and you will leave with some nice pin stripping. I'll put myself down right now as a maybe with the lean towards possible depending on what the wife says. If I can go I will be more then happy to lead the run and show you the trail head depending on where we go. The only one I'm questionable about is flagpole.

we used to work 2 10hr days then 2 14hr nights (7a-5p & 5p-7a) that schedule is still worked by the FFs

we (the medics) filed a lawsuit under the FLSA about the way in which we (medics) were paid our OT. we won and are awaiting our monetary award but the city chose to be compliant with the FLSA by changing our schedule to this...

12hr shifts 8a-8p. you are either assigned to steady days or nights, no more rotation.

the days are: Mon & Tues work, wed & Thu off, fri, sat & sun work. the next week is mon & tue off, wed & thu work, fri, sat & sun off.

repeat ad nauseum

I like the sounds of Peter's Mill or State Line. I'm on 32's w/ 3" of lift and some armor, and I know that it has rained for the last 3 weeks. Dictum's might be kind of a stretch for me. I don't mind the overgrowth, as I've said, nature does my pinstriping. Let me know if you can go.

Yeah, guys, sounds like a winner. I'll see if I can drum up some interest with some other guys (members of JKO who don't visit often) and lock this in.

Just when they think they have all the answers, I go and change the question.

Yeah Doug. From what Lc619fr tells me about the locations he's talking about, its near the intersection of interstates 66 and 81.

Cool, I'll put you down, everyone else still into it? Talked with sniper41 over the weekend and we may be interested in camping Sat night. We'll see what the weather's up to. I'll wheel no matter what but no need to camp in the rain.
