GWNF Run 10/24

Well I'm itching to hit the trails again and was wondering if anybody would like to join me on the 24th...not sure what I'm going to run yet...anything but flagpole doesn't do anything to excite me. Who's up for it? I might have a new trail for us to run depending on what kind of feedback I get from some people that have run it before. And it's closer

Oh ok. Never been there. Heard of it over at the Nova site though. I think I will be a go for this ride. Wherever it is. My schedule changes the 19th, so I'll have the weekends off now.

Wheeled with riverzendz (Ian) at the jkf INVASION last weekend and got the invite to the GWNF wheelers club. Built a bumper before the ride and need to spend some family time thru Oct. I would be totally down for a trip early Nov weekend 7, 14. Let me know what you think. Could possibly bring 3 or 4 new JK'rs with me if I have some time...

Just when they think they have all the answers, I go and change the question.

Dude, you're killing me. I have 13 days off in a row, but the 24th is day 15 (two days back at work)

On a side note, that's a good day to run a new trail as the flagpole looks like it will be crowded.

Well I'm all about making multiple dates for wheeling hell if I'm off I could wheel every weekend, Mad myk there's no need for an invite to the GWNF group we're just a bunch of wheelers that love to jeep.

HAHA don't we all...So does anybody have a trail they really like to run??? I'd love to get down to Dictums again but it's not exactly a stock friendly trail, which I'm cool with but some others may not be. I'd also like to get down to check out Stoney Run/Big levels down in stuarts draft.

I wouldn't mind going to try Dictums Ridge. I haven't been there yet and would like to check it out. Big Levels is nothing special. But it's a place to get off the pavement. We were there in the spring camping at Misty Mountain.

Yes yes we did x4 I do believe...and we maybe having another stock jeep this time.

Ok I might have a plan, lets meet at the sheetz around 9:30-10 ish down in H-burg we'll plan to run dictums up to the parking lot and come down 2nd mountain. Should be a good day trip we'll try and do lunch at the top at the parking lot. Then spend the afternoon coming down 2nd mt. We should get some nice views of the leaves by the power lines for all the photo people out there. What do you all think about that?

It sounds like the GWNF trail covers alot of ground. is there anywhere that I could get a map of the whole trail to see where you guys are talking about?

Just when they think they have all the answers, I go and change the question.

That's the best one I've found online. National Geographic makes some good ones but they are paper copies I believe. Nothing you can download IIRC.

for those guys/gals that have not wheeled down here yet the address to the sheetz is 798 East Market St. Harrisonburg Va. I can also meet people around 8ish at 66/81 and we can ride down together from there
