They see me rollin'...they hatin'...

Got my 40's put on today. For a comparison, the left rear is a 40 and the right rear is a 37.

Never thought I'd believe that 37's would look small on a JK. Now my 35's look like they belong on a Toyota Camry.

Looks great Jason. Side view?

Dr. Dirty...a bit of both. The Florida sun started fading it and it's a bit dirty. I'm going to see what I can do about fixing the top up (they can be painted).

StubEXrube...here's a side shot of the tire next to my friend's 37".

how much wider is that 40?

Re: the top. I'd be pissed. I live in Florida and havent seen a single OEM hard top faded. And I know you paid off for that top. Give em hell man.

Get some pics of all 4 40s on it btw.

Karnuvore...The 37's are 12.5" wide and the 40's are 14.5" wide...things are FAT!

Yeah, the whole fading top thing is disappointing to say the least. For well over $3K, you'd think it would have a better finish. I'm going to write them and see what they can do. They've got a place down in Miami, so maybe I can get it switched out down there when I get back to FL next month...let's hope.

A whole 4 days?

I think they're main shop is in Cali...did you try contacting them? I had a rack from them (mounted the RTT on that) and it was alright. I smacked it into a tree pretty good, which tweaked it a bit, but we were able to use a winch and straighten it out. Friend has the rack now since I decided to put the RTT on top of the trailer rather than the Jeep.

After looking at the top today, I'd say it's faded. It didn't look that great to begin with. I think it will be perma-dirty soon enough though.

Side views will be coming soon. The other camera is a bit to technical for the user. It looks unreal though. I'd say it can almost float

Oh btw Jason, Mikey helped mount the tires. I don't know what you were talking about when you said it was hard We shot some video too, it should be funny watching 3 dudes huddled over 1 tire/rim trying to get those things apart.

EDIT to add the beef.

This isn't the best side by side shot but you get the idea.

Dr. Dirty...Well, at least you got your refund, that's something.

I just shot them an email telling them about the fading issue and asked if they've had this problem with other tops they've sold. I told them it's looking pretty bad and makes it difficult for me to defend their product (especially considering the price I paid for the top, and that it's not even 6 months old).

They've got a shop down in Miami, so I told them I could shoot down there to have it replaced or they could paint it...which ever one they choose. The painted ones look real nice and if they did that, then I don't think there'd be anymore issues with it. I'll post up here when I hear back from them.

What was Mikey doing...supervising? hahahaha!

I mounted them on my own, so I thought it wouldn't be bad at all for 3 of you to tear them down and remount them. Don't worry though...the beer is on me when I get back there! We'll have to head up to Hooters or something so I can buy y'all lunch.

Looking forward to seeing the other pix...as soon as Tim figures out how to work the camera, that is.

Looking good Jason....

A little off topic - So this is the jeep that you're selling in the raffle? If so, when is the raffle and what else are you putting into the jeep before the raffle?

Yes, this is the vehicle being raffled off. There is a trailer (with matching 17" bead locked wheels, 40" BFG KM2 tires, a roof top tent, a honda generator, air conditioning for the tent, and a mess of other good stuff) that comes with the Jeep. The trailer is currently being custom built and is valued about $15,000.

Things still left to be done to the Jeep...
Fox Reservoir shocks with 11" of travel
AEV Heat Reduction Hood
Off-Road Lights (8)
Cobra CB
Rock Lights (6)
Skid Plates (Full Set)
and a few other things here and there

Tickets are $25 each and a maximum of 5000 will be sold (minimum of 2500 must be sold before winner is drawn). Drawing is planned for September 27th at the final WFTW event in Georgia. Tickets have been going pretty quick, so if you're looking for one, you may want to get one at the FL WFTW event April 4-5 rather than waiting until closer to the end.

Nick...those pix look INSANE! I can hardly wait to get back to Florida next month. I'm going to clean it up real good and take it out to the beach to get some nice shots. A guy I know who's a photographer wants to take some promo shots of it and says he's going to round up some models as well.

Man I wish my Dana 44's could handle 40's cause Id go that route. Im just afraid of pushing them. Not to mention the V6 is a little whimpy for them. Yes Im just trying to make excuses for the 37's Im going to buy instead.
