Horn & Cruise control do not work

I press the horn on the steering wheel and sometimes it might work once with hard press and cruise control is in and out. The horn works just fine with the key fob. Cruise does not work most of the time and when it does engage, it drops out on it's own

Does this sound like clockspring?? Only codes I'm getting are for wheel speed sensor (C100A), traction control (U0184), and some loss communication with radio or antenna (U1158) not sure on that last one though.

And have I read correctly that clockspring may be covered in warranty now??

edit: also the passenger air bag light has flashed on in the past maybe 4 or 5 separate occasions

My horn also doesn't work when it is pressed, but will sound when I press the key fob. My cruise works fine. I have seen a few posts about checking the fuses as the most common reason for the horn to malfunction. I need to get around to checking mine some day, but with the doors and top off of the Jeep, I tend to point and yell instead of use the horn.

the clock spring will affect anything on the steering wheel if it goes bad. thehorn still works with the key fob becasue your not physically pressing the horn button with the key fob

There was a cabin flash software update on my JK. Might check that out while you're there.

woohoo go my letter today for clockspring! I can''t believe that Chrysler customer service is saying there is no such thing out there for a recall or extended warranty. At least it will get fixed now hopefully

Check on it. The warranty reimburses you if you previously paid out of pocket to fix it.

Send a message via MSN to b1pig

I got my letter two weeks ago... it definitely mentions possible reimbursement.

good luck!
