Question Stock X Skids

Anyone know how descent the stock skid plates are on my '08 Unlimited X.

I know it only has 2, but how good are they.

Should I replace them?

Depends on how you wheel it. I have been told I wheel mine hard. I had to replace mine and the oil pan, now I have rock hards on it and they are all fokd up.

If you are planning on doing rock crawling, stream beds, boulders...That kind of thing, then yea, They REALLY suck and should be upgraded. If you plan on the occasional stump hit thru the woods, they should be fine. When in doubt- take out the checkbook.

Poly Performance - Dynatrac - Currie - Goodyear - Poison Spyder - Warn - PSC - AEV - Reid Racing - Off-Road Evolution - Flowmaster - Delta - Riddler - Micky Thompson - Daystar - Skid Row - Uniden - Rebel Offroad - Firestik - Warrior Products - Viair - HiLift - ARB - Kicker - Infinity

Checkbook it shall be then. I like the mud and creeks. Any thoughts on manufacturer that does them all?

Skid Row and Poly Performance seems to have a good following over here. I would stay away from RockHard. JMO

only thing I can think of is maybe with out the lift there is interferance with the axle or maybe the driveshaft at full flex.

Anyways, if you want a complete system, I say go for the Trek's. I really like the looks of the Poly kit, but your still gonna have to do something about the gas tank skid. I'm still trying to decide between the two myself.

SOLD-08 Unlimited X, "jeep green", auto, limited slip, hushpower muffler, Aerotech Interceptor gauge,Powerstroke tranny cooler, skidrow evap skid, AFE Pro 7 filter, Teraflex leveling kit, EVO control arm skids, 15x8 Black Rock 909's, 33" KM2's
