How Much Off MSRP?

2012 Sahara Unlimited. I was quoted 2500.00 off MSRP by a dealer I am traveling to get to and bought a '10 from last year.

What you are you guys being quoted or paying?

It has not hit the dealer lot yet, (should be there in about 10 days) and they are trading with another dealer, so I would assume that gives them some room as it will not hit their floorplan.

Thanks for any input.

Do a build on edmunds.com and see what the invoice is. I wouldnt pay a single dollar over invoice since all jeeps have a 3% holdback to the dealer.. Chances are even if they sold it at invoice depending on options, the dealer will make at least $1k on the deal

The "said" they were 164.00 under invoice. I dont care if they make a few bucks, the electic bill on their dealership has to be 10K a month. I just dont want to hear someone paid 4K off next week.

I just checked and was at 4K off the '10, but that was a leftover with 11's on the ground.

I will check edmunds thanks

What are the options on the jeep you are looking at? Is there a link to it or at least to the window sticker? I doubt you will hear of anyone getting 4k under MSRP unless it's loaded with aftermarket equipment. There's no rebates or incentives on the '12s right now unless you are active duty or retired. If it's truly $164 under invoice, that's a pretty good deal

MSRP on mine was a little over 41K I payed just a little over 37 K. Granted there is a little more room the higher the MSRP. Around 3K below for a 2012 not even on there lot would be a decent enough deal I think.
Good luck with the purchase!

Doubt this will copy and paste well enough to be readable. Left $$ is invoice, right number is MSRP. Just like peanut said, the higher the price, the more options and the more off MSRP you can get.

I think you are getting a decent deal. Maybe 500 or so would make it even better up to you if it is worth the extra hassle or if you just buy it as is. Maybe ask them to toss a winch into the deal or floor mats and tinted windows

200 under invoice plus any rebates or incentives is a reasonable deal

MSRP is 37,625.00

Leather
Connectivity Group
Trailer Tow
Auto Trans
Trac-Lok
Auto A/C
Body Color Hardtop
430N NAV
Remote Start

Sounds like this is an ok deal. I knew I was not going to get 4K off, that was an end of year leftover with '11's on the ground, and I really dont recall too many incentives on JK's over the years anyways.

I paid like 23K for my 07 Sahara I want to say..man these things are going up up up!

I was able to get the same price for the 2012 as the 2011 sitting on the lot so it made the choice real easy for me. Besides the new engine and tranny were well worth it.

Pay $60 to become a Tread Lightly member. Then you get an auto 1% below invoice without any BS.

You could hit this by bartering back and forth with the dealer, but I just hate the process of buying a vehicle so this works well for me.

35125.00

I just emailed him back and said that is fine, but no dealer fees. As far as the tread lightly that sounds nice and I appreciate the info. I am fine with a couple hundies, I just wanted to make sure people were not getting 4-5k off. Thanks for the info everyone.

So my 07 2DR will be going into the garage to spend the rest of it's life without a top and doors, and I am looking forward to building the ultimate mall crawler

Thanks again for the info and look forward to some good advice on a lift for 37's

See if they will go 35k even... I'm sure they wont balk over it seeing that they get $1053.75 back from the manufacturer

Sounds more like he's building the 2dr and getting the 4dr to make a daily driver. And who cares if he upgrades every year if he wanted to.. If it's what he wants to do then he can do it

The 2DR I bought almost 5 years ago and has been my daily drive since then. It has a Teraflex 2.5BB, 35's, a upgraded steering stabilizer and drives like a giant lawn tractor. It gets pretty crowded where I live in the summer and on weekends so shifting gears is getting old. It has almost 60K miles and is of course out of warranty, therefore I am concerned it's getting into that range where it "could" starting having problems. So I would like to leave the top and doors off, and turn it into my weekend nice day vehicle. I live in a small town so if I put 3K miles on it in a year I would very surprised. I love it and would never sell it.

The '10 I actually bought for my assistant. I drive it when it rains, but it's really hers.

I was looking a few luxury SUV's this past week, but once you get the Wrangler bug it's tough to lose it. So this one I will lift and put all the toys on it, but focus on ride quaility over off-road capability for a daily driver.

And if I need to take a long trip, the only thing the '10 has done to it is some wheel spacers so it's pretty nice on the hwy. .....at least for now, I am sure when my assisitant sees mine, I will have to least put 33's on it for her.
