EGR postion sensor high??

I have an 07 rubi and I'm getting an EGR position sensor high Trouble code with the damn check engine light. Has anyone had this? Anyone know the solution? Should I bite the bullet and visit the stealership?

No personal experience, but I'm going to guess it's a stuck EGR valve. Which I've read is an absolute PITA to get to. For most motors it's a cheap part.

Good luck!

Is the EGR valve and the EGR positions sensor the same thing or are they two seperate things all together?

Take a look here BTW. http://www.jk-forum.com/showthread.p...28DTC-P0406%29

My guess is the sensor is built into the EGR valve. May be a bit more cash than some others motors I've replaced them on. Emission systems get more and more complicated by the year.

Is the code P0406 ?

Yes. That is the code and I've been quoted everything from $75 to $100 for the EGR. Of course the only place that has one in stock wants $100.

Good luck! The fender removal looks like the ticket. It also looks like a good way to get to that spark plug. You may want to replace the plugs at the same time.

Regards, Tim
