Jeep JK 2009 Fuse Box Map Layout Diagram

Repost of earlier thread with minor corrections noted:

M1 is 15 Amp Blue, not Yellow
Circuit Breaker nomenclature is CB1, not C81

Since the fuse layout map on the inside cover of the fuse box is tough to read for those of us with older eyes, and since there have been several threads requesting such a diagram, I thought I'd go ahead and post this for whoever finds it useful.

See attached image below... I've also included the fuse listing from the owner's manual for convenience.

If anyone sees any mistakes, let me know immediately and I'll fix it. Note that this is from my 2-door JK 2009... I don't know if there are any differences between the 2-door and the 4-door, nor if there were any changes between 2007 or 2008.

That is bad ass! Well done, thanks!

Can you please list the "K's" (relays and what they're for, as well)?

If the front blinkers work, then look for a plug in the back loose or pulled out. or two burned bulbs?

Here you go:
Relays are labeled. The yellow circles are where power is always available.

Look here to see what's inside the TIPM:

wiring a LED light

When I got this blinking light, it has 2 wires...one black (radio/wipers) and 1 red constant power. Heres the instructions:
*Red - connects to any fuse that has constant power.
(such as the Lighter or Dome Light Fuse)
*Black - connects to any fuse that is ONLY powered when the key is ON.
(such as the accessories or Radio Fuse) FUSE 24 WIPERS
This is most easily done by removing the selected fuse and
re-installing it with the LED wire partially in the socket hole

6. Turn on the key - the light should be off
Turn off the key - the light should Flash Red/Blue

My problem is locating the fuse that has constant power...
Can someone help?

Thanks!
Jim

question

Here is a Bill of materials I found online for the 2008 Jeep. page 121 has the part callouts for all the fuses and relays.
http://d.scribd.com/docs/2k4ee67ul95m7ob8twn7.pdf
Its also usefull for finding other parts. Perhaps someoen can answer my question: according to that document. There is already a relay installed for factory fog lights. I have an X (no fog lights) can I just wire into that relay and run my Hella 500s?

The illustration in the link is not the TIPM we have in our JKs.
Here is a picture of the "K" items in our TIPM. Notice there is no relay for the fog lights.
The fog lights are electronically controlled on one of the TIPM circuit boards, shown in the second picture.

Came here to search and validate. Radio stopped working ... which fuse to change
Printed owners manual and RobertK list above indicate:

M10
20 Amp Yellow
Ignition Off Draw — Vehicle Entertainment System (IOD-VES), Satellite Digital Audio Receiver (SDARS), DVD, Hands Free Module (HFM), RADIO, Antenna (ANT), Universal Garage Door Opener (UGDO), Vanity Lamp (VANITY LP)

Yet the photo above AND in my fuse box shows/has 15 amp BLUE. Pulled the 15 amp blue and does NOT look burnt/snapped.

Do I replace with 20 amp Yellow? Or is there another fuse more specific for the radio cluster? Manual is not indicating another fuse for radio.

UPDATE: For M10 - do not replace 15 am blue with 20 amp yellow as spec in manual and text above. The manual is PROBABLY incorrect/typo.

In my case M10 fuse was NOT blown, but radio still did not work. Service manager suggested resetting by pulling out J13 and let sit for 1 minute to reset system then reseat the J13 back in.

J13
60 Amp Yellow
Ignition Off Draw (IOD) — Main

Worked for me - radio works.
Your mileage may vary.

I have an airbag light on. Dealer said it was the TIPM, what fuse/relay is correlated with that?!?

Want led in the rear

Maybe you guys can help me out. I have a European JK with EU tailights and they have seperate indicator/brake lights. I want to change these taillights with led's, but the led's are US versions and share the brake/indicator light.

I asked a few wiring diagrams from the dealer and found out that the changes are withing the TIPM/front module. The only thing I don't know is; if it's a seperate relay/module, or if its a software change in the computer itself that states if it's a EU or US vehicle and uses the extra indicator wire.

Can someone enlighten me on this? If it's a software thing I can maybe ask the dealer to change my JK to a US version.

Thanks,

Dennis

Not yet. And at this moment I don't have the time to investigate it deeper.

I think it's a setting in the wranglers computer, but I didn't call the dealer about it, yet. Maybe if you're dealership is willing to give you more information on these settings you can share it on this forum.

However there is another solution, but it's not really the one I want. I'd rather have my tipm changed, if possible
