Paperwork states: "Pulled intake and performed cylinder leakdown test. Findings of 40% leakage cylinder compared to less than 5% in all other. Cylinders indicate faulty cylinder head."
Well, it gives me confidence to hear Chrysler isn't dicking people around when it comes to head issues. I realize there's a process to go through, which is a bit irritating, but it is what it is. I guess I can't blame them for wanting to be positive about something expensive being the problem before just handing out expensive parts and services. It's all on Chrysler's dime.

I was suprised at how easy to whole process was, especially after reading many threads on many forums about Chrysler being difficult on this issue.

My Jeep threw the code on a Tuesday. Took the Jeep to the dealer on Wednesday and just told them that the engine light was on. Dealer called me about three hours later and said that they needed to order some parts to replace the head. I was like ok. I picked up the Jeep and parked it. Dealer called four days later stating that the parts had arrived and set up an appointment to bring it in.

Wow, makes me wish everything in life were this easy! Still a pain in the ass to not have the ride for a few days, though.

I had to return to the dealership for secondary repairs after they did the coolant system because I had a nice coolant leak and it turned out to be a thermostat valve or something that hadn't been tightened. The lack of the attention to detail kinda pisses me off but I guess it's fixed. I'll have to look under the vehicle today before leaving for work. I didn't see any puddles under it yesterday so I'm fairly certain all is well but it's better to be safe than sorry.
