Drain plug locations
Dumb question from a FNG: Where are the drain plugs in the floor of my 2-door 2010 JK Sport located? After all this snow, slop and salt, I'll have to wash the carpeting. Do you just wash and scrub with the plugs out and let the rinse water soak through and come out the drains? TIA

The drain plugs should be directly under the carpet in the center of the footwells for driver/passenger side. You cant miss them once you take the carpet out. Once you get the hang of how the carpet sits you can take it out and reinstall it in less than 5 minutes. When I first removed my carpet I had to rip a part of it where it was pre-cut but not all the way directly under the front seats.

I was looking for my drain plugs too the other day. After I noticed I had a small pool in the cubby hole. I guess i need to check the cubbyhole more often (insert joke here)

And don't forget the one in the jack storage area. I'm betting I had water in there for over 6 months.
Cheers. |

THANK YOU!!
Well, on the upside I found out how to take the carpets out and where the drain plugs were.
![]() On the downside, I'm in an apartment and praying that the sun comes out enough to do the drying for me!
