Talking 2010 Dark Charcoal Pearl Coat

Well folks, the charcoal was a late color but has been out and about for about a week or so. I would've posted pix sooner but I figured someone would beat me to it since I have been 'preoccupied' by Uncle Sam for the last 6 weeks.

*Updated Nov 7th*

Here are some sunshine shots of a 2010 Dark Pearl Coat Sport. I test drove and parked it for advantageous lighting. Enjoy!

Pix of the new Natural Green can be found here.

Funny, I was like he has more than one post, I've read 'em

That's an odd color, doesn't look bad though. I haven't seen any around here yet so it's good to see one in almost real life.

BTW do you always take up four parking places?

Love the color. I personally don't like black. I think its too bland but this color is great. Hate the look without the spare on the back.

I always take up lots of parking spaces in a brand new vehicle. Gotta protect it from door dings!

Isn't that a secondary function of the side-steps?!

Cool to see the Dark Charcoal. I'm dying to see the Natural Green, wonder if they're out yet?

Mine is far from new, but I still pull that trick especially when at the madness that is Whole Foods.

I'm liking the color. It would look sick with black wheels and a bit of lift.

That's what I thought was a major CAUSE of door dings. The guy that parks crooked because his car is more special than all the other cars gets bonked by the jerk who wants to prove a point.

One of the boidy shops around says they get loads of work from people doing that, as people come along and deliberately scratch/dent them for taking up so many spaces

Color looks good

Where did you find the Charcoal?

Dubya, did you buy the Charcoal JK from a dealer's lot or did you special order it? Are they hitting the dealer lots in any given cities? I am in NC, but don't see any available within a 200 mile radius.

And seeing your Charcoal JK in person, are you happy with the color? Does it look as black as it does in the photos?

Love that color, looks great! Especially like that color of all of them on the Sahara with the painted flares.

Now that I am on my net book it clearly looks dark gray to me, darker than mineral gray lighter than black not much!

I think it it looks a bit odd on a stock rig but I think that color would look AWESOME on a modded out rigwith some mods on it.

I would have gotten that color had it been avalibal.

Ken, I am not buying a new Jeep, just reporting on the new colors. As far as where to find them, I have seen both the Charcoal and Natural Green in Detroit, Cleveland, and Atlanta. Where they hit depends somewhat on proximity but also dealer orders. For example, as of yesterday, none of the 3 Toledo area dealers had either new color, and Yark Jeep is a fairly large outfit only 15 miles from the plant.

Keep checking Jeep.com as that info is updated daily and call your dealers. They may have inventory that doesn't show up online yet.

In the shade it is hard to tell if it is steel blue, black or charcoal. In the sun it is distinct.
