Chris Christie is a goner and can't go away soon enough.

At least he manned up and took responsibility as well as making things right to ensure this doesn't happen again, unlike the our "leader" in the white house who stands close enough to take credit but far enough away so to not take blame. Hell Obamination didn't take the heat for his own healthcare program failures but I assure you that if things went smoothly during its launch he would have been the first one out there taking ALL the credit.

If Christie were to run for President we would vote for him in a heartbeat.

Christie is a petty thug and the republican version of Obama. Mostly hot air, a strong ego and few achievements. But he has talked himself up...much like dear leader.

Big proponent of gun control also.

No thanks.

Some fun Christie information.

Quote:
Job creation: New Jersey ranks 44th in job growth during Christie’s governorship.

Credit rating: Three major credit agencies have cut the state’s credit rating since Christie became governor, making it costlier to borrow money.

Economic growth: In 2011, New Jersey was just one of seven U.S. states whose economy shrank. The state ranked 47th in terms of GDP growth.

Taxes: New Jersey is tied for 50th in the Tax Foundation’s annual report, which ranks which states have the most business-friendly (translation: lowest) taxes. Plus, the tax burden grew by 18.6 percent for the average family under Christie.

Christie is a Rino, just a Dem in Repub clothing. Do you really want a guy in the White House that either wasn't smart enough to know this existed in his house or knew and promoted it and is doing everything he can not to go down for it?

Although I believe it's more towards the 2nd example I don't think he may have known everything about it, he knew of it and didn't care, because it's the kind of tactic his office promotes and the environment he creates around him.

Christie would be a terrible choice for President. He would do nothing to turn our downward trajectory around. He is not a small government, strict Constitutionalist like we need.

I find it hard to believe he knew nothing of the lane closures. This had to be big news locally in Jersey (the massive traffic delays). You think he would have looked into what was causing all the hub bub.

It is totally within your abilities to accept that a republican got caught doing a very thuggy and vindictive play without mentioning any other politician. The "oh but Billy did it too, Mommy!" BS gets very little traction. Christie is a douchebag and doesn't get a free pass because you are aligned with his political agenda, imagine if you did that with everything.
A republican plows into your car, don't file a insurance claim. It's all good, I'll eat that one.
A republican robs you, no officer I don't want to press charges.
A republican kicks your dog, no big deal....I'm sure the furry bastard deserved it.

Problem is, Christie is not a Republican. He might be registered that way and I'm sure it says "R" beside his name in print a bunch of times, but he doesn't stand for what we value.

Christie was dead to most real Republicans the moment he locked arms with Obama after that storm in 2012 and gave him the proverbial reach around.

As a former resident of the Peoples Republic of New Jersey, Governor Christie is an interesting character at best and a politician at worst. The fact is New Jersey hasn't had a good Governor is decades.

It always seemed to me that NJ is competing with California for the title of State to be the most socialist...

He knew all about it when it happened. Even joked about it during that week saying that he was out on the bridge in overalls and was the one moving the cones. It's been thrown in his face a lot in the past few days. The bridge authority rep that was responsible was appointed by Christy and went to high school with him. Gonna be hard to keep denying any knowledge.

When he spent the day walking on the beach holding Obamas hand, he lost my support.

You guys have been watching state sponsored television (NBC, CBS, ABC). Watch Fox news and these scandals involving republicans aren't nearly as bad.

So you're saying Faux News is more trust worthy?

You do realize that the false retelling of events doesn't actually change what really happened, right? It's like how my mommy and your mommy might disagree about who the bestest son in the whole world is. If I want to feel good about myself I'd be better off asking my own mom that question and not yours. If I wanted reality, I'd ask neither.

I hope a republican runs who respects states right with Cannabis. I want to see how Colorado and Washington come out after a couple of years.

Washington will continue to be a Liberal Mecca for schmuck Californians and Colorado will continue its decline as well.

One question: Why this is such a HUGE SCANDAL while Bengazi, IRS conservative group problems, NSA overachieving and the Fast and Furious program et al aren't? F&F may have been started under W's watch but greatly expanded under O's watch.

Let's take a peek here: Bridgegate MAY have been responsible for 1 death and a pile of aggravation

Bengazi: 4 deaths

IRS and NSA: No deaths(?) but lots of aggravations

Fast and Furious: Upwards of 200+ deaths

I'll answer my own Q... Christie has a "R" behind his name while Oblunder has a "D" behind his.

If it turns out that it can be proven that Christie lied, then he's toast. If it can't, then it'll pass. He handled the apology and accepting responsibility well.

It is stupid dumbass to cause a traffic jam in retaliation, and especially leaving a discoverable email trail. CC is not a dumbass. His staff was.

Today, neither AP or USA Today had it in the top stories. It'll only come back big if CC can be tied directly to it.

I don't think we'd be better off in the Middle East with Romney at the helm either.
