Yeah, thats what I said when we were brainstorming ideas of tramp stamps. Could even do JK lettering without the box around it.

Whats up fellas been a while... Question: Is it imperative that I add limiting straps to my 3.5in three link long arm suspension? Also, do you think I will need a new front drive shaft to alleviate my current one from over extending?

Part 1 of the video shows the nasty tree at 4.12 this is where we started last time just north of the tree for the ones that went...My plan is to start at the bottom and then see how far we can get. Time allotted we might be able to do the whole trail. If need be we can always come out where we started the previous run.

It's very possible you can run your stock shafts although not recommended by manafacturers. 3 inches of lift is usually the limit on all lifts for the four doors before upgrading drive shafts. As far as limiting straps go I have not seen a need at 3.5 but maybe someone else can chime in on this. It might however depend on your spring size and make/model of lift.

I agree there is no need for limiting straps unless your shocks extend way to far.
In regards to the driveshaft I would definitely recommend a new one. I went with a Tatton and am very happy with the quality.

x2, your shocks are your limit straps in a sense. Most twin and monotube shocks designed for the lifts won't extend to the point of needing limit straps. Most of the time, you see the straps used when people get to coilovers where the ratio of uptravel/downtravel can vary greatly and may require limiting straps.

Sorry not on the 31st.. Have to help out at an art fair in Tubac. I am however going up that way this morning. I'm going to take a quick look at the lower oart of Mansfield.

Darn, was hoping to see you down there. let us know what you find, especially the bad stuff if any. Also, did I read right back there somewhere that you said Mansfield was one of the trails slotted for closure?

Yup, Mansfield is one slatted for closure. I'll be against that as they are closing it because its a riparian area. Well, there are other areas they can close instead. Upper part doable in ATV much faster than jeep! Lower part where James wants to go looks very nice at the very beginning (that is at the lower entrance). Then you pass through a gate and right into a wash, but there has been other traffic goi ng up it. I didn't go any further as I was running out of time. James may be onto a good trip there.
keep in mind it is not signed as an oficial road though. But I'm going to ask to include that in the upper part!

BTW I'll be getting a group together to do a trip in the same area but a new road I bet few if any have been on. Time frame "sometime soon"

And be aware Rug Road Campout is coming up SOON April 21st or there abouts...
