My buddy just bought a 2012 Fat Boy Lo and while I was with him at the dealership I fell in love with a used 2008 Street Bob with forward mounted controls and some kind of after market exhaust that was loud as fuck.

Most 80's model inline 4 600cc bikes will still out run all but the most built Harleys with 3 times the displacement, still have about the same suspension and handling as well.

Any guesses on my experience with bikes would probably be wrong.

I would say that, like our lifted Jeeps, the purpose of a Harley isn't getting you from point A to point B the fastest. If that's your goal you've missed it.
