Off-Road trailer

Finished tightening up my off-road camping trailer. I disassembled everything that would come apart and POR-15'ed all the parts,
then put it all back together and POR-15'ed the whole thing again. Also Installed some new fenders I got from Adventure Trailers
and painted it up to match the tow rig.

This is how it looked the day I picked it up.

No, just having the same wheels and tires as the jeep leveled things out pretty good.

Looks good, I might have to paint mine to match. Where did you get the tent?

I was not real sure about painting to match but I like the look after I did it.

Got the tent from http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/

The whole thing got the por15 after that, por15 self etching primer Then a automotive 2 part urathane paint for the red and silver. The black on the frame is the por15 hardnose paint. The hardnose is just like it says. Its hard as a rock. Will be interesting to see how it holds up.

I was feeling the same way until I saw yours. Everyone kept telling me but the picture in my head didn't look good. Thanks for the link

where did you get the hubs to put the Jeep wheels on it?

I am looking at a few trailer options right now and want matching wheels and tires.

I am going to build mine to haul two dirt bikes under the rack for the tent, but also make the rack adjustable height so I can lower it down when I am not taking bikes.

I just swaped them out to 5 on 5 Dexter drums then mounted 2 1/2" thick adapters that move the face of the drum out over the dust caps so the jeep wheels have a flat hub to bolt to. Had the adapters made here http://www.motorsport-tech.com/wheel_adapters.html

I see them every once in a while advertised. Have not really paid a lot of attention to the ads anymore. I found this one on ebay after looking for about a year then drove from NW Oh to NY to pick it up

The trailers are classafied as a M101 or a M416 1/4 ton trailer. There are a few avaialble, but hard to come by. There are companies that offer these, but for like 5-7 grand before you get into the tents and other compnents. I'll keep my eyes open.

They come up every once in a while. I snagged this one for $900.
