Trail Tested my JK Today

A small group of PA Jeeperz went down to the Philly Intl. Airport this morning for some light wheeling. I had a chance to test my stock JK and I was greatly impressed. Climbed with ease, never scraped bottom. I hope to have more shots soon, but here is a group photo and a link to my pics.

Looks good man. Never thought you'd find some place to wheel in Philly. I spent a year down at Drexel and I always thought the most wheeling you'd see was having to drive up over a median to get around an accident .

Hey, sometimes you just gotta find a Hill or Mud hole anywhere & try the new JK out, looks like a nice group of Jeeps.

Very nice Mike! A little different than the Libby?

Let's see some action shots next time!

My KJ with 2" lift got me places and the skid plates got a good workout.

There were a few spots with the JK Unlimited that I literally had to tuck the mirrors and "thread a needle" to get through (tree on one side, big branch on the other) and I had to manuever some tight turns with a few shifts to reverse but I made out okay.

I hope to have some action shots as soon as the others in the group post their pics.

It was good to just get out and get a feel for how it would perform. It did great stock. I can only imagine how it will be once modified.

Nice pics, I have heard people mention the airport before. How much area is there and where do you access it from? I work not to far from the airport.

Access is off of Fort Mifflin road just before you get to the tunnel. The pic below will give you an idea of the area where we drove (highlighted in blue). There may be more area, but it was my first time there. It was okay for a few hours of free wheeling. The red star indicates the main entrance to the trails.

Thanks, I will have to take a ride over there at some point to check it out.
