MOAB industries????

Anybody ever heard of MOAB industries? A buddy of mine just bought one of their jeeps with their lift installed and wants me to look it over for him.

Dunno, but I sure the fuck am glad that I went to their site and learned all this awesome new shit...

5 Major Aftermarket Concerns

Frequently Re-Torque your Pitman Arm
Re-Torque entire suspension every 3,000 miles or LOF
Rotate and Re-Balance Tires every 3,000 miles or LOF
Establish a relationship with an Off-Road center/store
Establish a relationship with your local Jeep Store

Also, this...........

Stage II

A Moab Stage II Conversion is mainly for branding purposes. No Aftermarket bumpers or off-road lights, just a quality, Color-Coded 8″ or 6″ Short-Arm Suspensions, Wheels & Tires, Decals, and Color-Coded Flares. A Color-Coded Hardtop is optional.

Stage III

A Moab Stage III Conversion is where we start our more comprehensive off-road package. Along with a Color-Coded 8″ Eight-Link Extreme Short Arm Suspension, Wheels & Tires, Decals and Color-Coded Flares & Hardtop, We include a Mid-Length Steel Front Bumper, 9,500LB Winch on a recessed winch plate, and a 12″ LED Light Bar. Rear Swing-Away w/ Roto-Pax is optional.

Stage IV

A Moab Stage IV conversion is, by far, the most popular of all our conversion packages. In addition to our Stage III conversions, we add a set of 6″, 100Watt halogen KC Off-Road Lights, and a hood mounted, color-coded Hi-Lift Jack. The Rear Swing-Away w/ Roto-Pax comes standard; Now you have the option to upgrade your 35″ Tires to 37″ Tires, as well as the option to upgrade your Color-Coded Flares to our Color-Coded Rock Krawler Flares.

Stage V

A Moab Stage V Conversion is our flagship package. This Full-Tilt build comes standard with a 8″ Eight-Link Extreme Short Arm Color-Coded Suspension, 37″ Mud Terrain Tires w/ a 17″ Wheel, and Front Bumper, 9,500LB Winch, & 12″ Light–Bar. We also include the Rear Bumper, Swing Away w/ Roto-Pax, Surco Cargo Roof Rack System Complete w/ Hi-Lift Jack, Shovel & Axe. Upgradeable Options include a Slant Back Hardtop, DVD/Nav Stereo w/ Subwoofer, and Hammered Finish Bumpers.

Yep sure does with the dual stabilizer. This is the only pic I have seen of his jeep. "8" extreme short arm". Maybe they are an offshoot of draken. LOL I don't know how he is going to take the bad news we are gonna lay down on him.

They usually only sell through dealers, or at dealer auctions, from what I was told. That should say a lot. Coopted a great name, and put out cheap, expensive junk.

So one of their dealers called me yesterday afternoon. Everything is "custom ordered" and they hardly ever keep anything on hand due to it all being custom builds.

We are going to play in the rocks next Saturday so we will see how it performs.

Am I reading that right that basically everything is an 8" lift? If so how the hell do they keep a front shaft in those things?

Maybe they just measured the height of the springs and called it 8". I dunno know. Just another fucking idiot out to make a fast buck off the jeep community.

^ DING DING DING, we have a winner.

For the white Jeep that was linked. Does that spare tire already look like it's leaning backwards?

Aside from those MOAB things, there's a couple Jeeps at "Jim's" that, upon first glance, are worth a second look if for no other reason than the low mileage...'06 Unlimited, '06 6sp manual and '04 5sp manual. I woulda taken any one of those (dare I say it) over my '14...'course, I don't know how much "Jim" is askin' for his.

MOAB industries is just like Starwood motors. If there wasn't some kind of demand for them, they wouldn't be in buisness. Sad really.

Look at it this way. At least your buddy bought a Jeep.

He had one before but wanted a mustang so the jeep went bye bye. That was about 4 or 5 years ago. I just wish that he would have talked with some of us BEFORE he went and bought that shit show.

wait....I haven't read further than this reply by you, Gunny..but it just "hit" me that it is 4/20 today ...this is not a real post, right?
*cough*

am I twippin'?

This is some joke ;an offering of suspiciously fertile-fields of bashability & it's being handed to us as some kind ,reality zapping ,happy gesture, right?
