Jeep Speed Shop is working on it and plans to have a kit out by the end of the year.

Ran into this a while back:

This build was done in Dubai so money wasnt exactly an issue. Also I dont know how well everything was integrated with this swap. His dash may be a christmas tree.

I'd be more worried about the lights and OBD inspections etc. w/ the LS swap. But being a GM guy (had a cam'd, sprayed LS7 C6Z06), I must admit that there's no comparison between the Hemi and LSengines. Once you bring the aftermarket into play, LS' are tough to beat period.

Would love to have an LS3 in my 2010 Unlimited Rubi

Check out the E Rod Series from GM!

http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/

Todd at Jeep Speed Shop is working on this swap as well. This will give you a stand along ECU and a emissions certificate so it is valid in every state. Then you will finnally be able to ditch all the OEM electronics! As Jeep people we don't need a computer how to drive our Jeep. We know some enthusiast really like ESP, but ESP is an insurance thing. Learn to drive! Sorry about the rant!

No doubt the LS7 is a serious engine but its a little unfair to compare it to the hemi because **most have only driven the 6.1 which is substanially smaller in displacement than the LS7 (7.0)

I think it was Horsepower TV that did that swap into a factory five car I believe.

Thats a $7500+ motor not including trans. Seems like it will be a pretty expensive swap.

He was just saying LS engines...not specifically the LS7. So compare a LS3 to the 6.1...or even a LS2/6/or 1...for that matter...

Those motors rock, especially when modded. I've owned 2 Z06s in a former life (2003, 2008) and the LS6 could take a beating and when simply cammed it was a complete beast.

No offense to the the Hemi as those that can afford the swap I completely envy, but if the swap to an LS was no more hassle and similar cost (and of course, I could even afford it)........My Jeep would be GM-powered.......

2010 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Rubicon with a part from everyone...

I'd run the LS. When the Jeep gets to the point of Trailer queen I'll probably do something like that.

I keep hearing how expensive a Hemi swap is from AEV as I looked at their Brute conversion and you can also have them put in a Hemi for like the price some people pay for a JK new...I only paid $25K for my 2015 JKU sport new from the dealer with Chrysler loyalty program...my 1st/only new vehicle ever at 39!

I have 2 YJs I either bought or traded for with Chevy LS 6.0L V8s and if I was going to put a LS 6.0L I'd probably sacrifice the YJ to put in a JKU...but they are hard to find cheap even wrecked 07s for example! I will probably in the near future buy a basketcase JKU with a clear title hopefully and transfer my 1 ton YJ drivetrain over to is...6.0L fuel inj/TH350/203/205/soa d60/4 link 14 bolt on 40" IROKS.

Why is the Hemi V8 such an expensive swap?! I guess people with $ to burn have brief cases full of $ to give to AEV or even Mopar will do the conversion and you can factor that and Ultimate Dana 60s into the price of your "New" Jeep Wrangler loan!

Lol!
Is his post about how stupid expensive hemi's are, his two awesome yj's, his new 2015 jk or a build thread on putting an old 6.0 and 60s from his yj into his jk?
Anyway we all know none of it will happen.

My YJs are awesome and if I can find a cheap enough JKU to gut I'd swap my 1 ton 6.0L YJ stuff into it.
For now on the 2015 jku debating on 35 or 37s on the dana 30/44 combo currenlty only has 3.21 gears and a automatic tranny, keeping it LOG and possibly 5.13 gears I found locally which are new, person sold their JKU before installing them. ....Sorry for the multiple thread posts about the same stuff...I'm new here had my JKU for almost 2 years before that had 15 YJs, 1 CJ, 1 TJ, dozen or so XJs, ZJs, 2 built MJs.
