(EDIT NOTE: To avoid confusion I want to point out that the BR6 13" brake components discussed in the first few pages of this thread ARE NOT the same as the Mopar Performance Big Brake Kit part number P5160051. This thread dates to before the Mopar BBK was released and discusses the 13" BR6 option offered on JKs in European and a few other overseas markets. The Mopar Big Brake Kit was released in 2015 and is essentially the calipers, rotors, front brake lines, master cylinder & booster from the miltary J8 pickup sold overseas. The only parts common to the BR6 option discussed here and the Mopar BBK are the rotors.)
For the sake of brevity, here are the part numbers for the JK's BR6 "Heavy Duty" (13.25") brakes sold in some export markets. One of our club members has been sleuthing this subject. We knew this stuff was out there but couldn't determine the part numbers that made up the option package. Here they are:
68040177AA - 13.25" Rotor
68044865AA - Caliper Adaptor
68044863AA - RH Caliper
68044862AA - LH Caliper
68044866AB - Pads
68049018AA - Pin kit
68045998AB - Master Cyl
68045999AB - Booster
The pads turned out to be Dodge Nitro OEM.
I rolled the entire cost on this up using moparpartsamerica.com and it came to $693.99. (Kick in the butt is the pads, $171.00 a set!) However, contrast this with the TF BBK with M/C and its about a $200 savings. Hope this helps any of you wanting to beef up your braking. I have had the TF kit on my '09 for three years and highly recommend it, but OEM and some savings are always a tempting alternative.
