I had RockStomper (Solid) diff covers, which I was pretty happy with, but one of them was slightly porous and weeped fluid through the surface. Not enough to cry about, but enough to bother to me a little. I was going to live with it, but when I saw the Riddler Diff Covers
, I decided I had to have them.
These things are substantial, nearly 12 lbs a piece, and look rock solid. Like most of the diff covers, they come unpainted, so I just rattle canned them black. They come with stainless steel hardware and a small rube of Permatex sealant, although I use paper gaskets as they are much easier to clean up after.
I understand that they were designed by the same person who designed the Crane high clearance diff covers, hence the resemblance. They are also identical to the Genuine Gear G2
covers, apart from the logo on them.
