If you need to get shit somewhere fast, it'll probably pass through a port with guys like me workin' it. Not a glamorous job, but someone's gotta do it. We build cargo, load and unload cargo on a/c, move pax to/from a/c, suck shit outta the planes, and bring meals to the planes, etc. (NOTE: not to worry, the guys sucking the shit aren't the same guys that're delivering the food!)

Work full time as a mechanic at our CSMS since Nov 2007
Was also mobilized for Hurricane Katrina, the DNC, and the South Fork Fire.
I came in as a 63W (Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) and went to Recovery School in 2003 to get my H8 identifier. I've been on or around a HEMTT Wrecker most of my career and am now the Section Supervisor for my Maintenance Company's entire Recovery Section. I've got 2 HEMTT Wreckers, 2 5Ton Wreckers, 2 Contact Trucks, and 2 HMMWV's with enough Joes to fill them all. I should be making E7 soon and the only thing that'll suck about that is it'll pull me away from Recovery. That means I won't get to play in the mud with my big HEMTT and toss chains around anymore. Maybe I'll piss somebody off and keep my E6 for awhile longer.
I was throwing airplanes your way from the USS Abraham Lincoln in 2004 and the USS Ronald Reagan from 2006-2008
