I just saw that article about an hour ago. Great timing - I'm regearing in a couple of weeks - hopefully it will be out by then.

I little birdy told me.

I actually saw the prototype of this at EJS last year. At the time it was going to be 99 bucks and only did about half the stuff it will now. It's a very cool piece. It's amazing what you can do with a few dip switches.

There have been a couple pre-production prototypes we've used, and guess what....they work! (surprised?)

Great option for speedo calibration and a bunch of other random cool stuff, compared to the Hypertech calibrator or similar. Cheaper too, which is appealing to me.

Yeah, they do some seriously cool stuff, like turning off the stupid blinking disco light (I have an antirock now), and loosening the setting for esp to make it less annoying....and helping you to perfectly center you steering wheel. And for 2008 and up guys, you can reprogram your TPMS to a lower setting.

Oh now THIS is gonna be mine, and soon!
Nice features, and excellent price (provided that $135 is accurate).

I wonder if Hypertech will step up to the plate now and offer all these goodies in a new update for their programmer.

I will buy the first programmer that allows me to reset the automatic transmission shift points and TC lockup point. Further, I will pay WHATEVER it costs. Until then, I'm keeping my money.

I just called and placed my order. $129 plus shipping. According to the guy at AEV they're available as of about 30 minutes ago.

Thats sweet, but somebody needs to come up with a programer that will help with the "dead" time or lag or the "drive by wire" set up.

So anybody know if you adjust the TPMS down to 0 psi if you can run without sensors in the tires? Or will the system still show an idiot light anyways because it's getting no signal from the sensors?

My guess is you'd get the idiot light as the computer is looking for an active signal of 0 psi or greater from the sensors. Keeping them loose in the Jeep probably wouldn't work all that well either as then they wouldn't be "active".

Thats my wild ass guess for the day. Your mileage may vary.

I'm wondering and hoping the same thing. I guess we'll find out in a couple of days.

shipping charge

OK....I got an e-mail from Mike at AEV this morning. I guess I snuck my order in while they were setting up the system and didn't even have the unit on the web site yet so it didn't charge me shipping (I found it via search ). I had to give them my credit card # again to pay the $7.89 shipping. They got a good laugh at how sneaky I was in getting my order in. They said it should be shipping next week.

With the price of the shipping, it is cheaper at Northridge 4x4 who sells it for $135. but just by a little...
