I like them. Is there anything to keep it from swinging front and dinging up the paint on the door jam?

is that a motorcycle, or a jeep? not my cuppa tea, but it wouldn't do me much good anyway, since my left foot is busy with the "man peddle."

There is a rubber stop that keeps it from swinging.

I think hanging any part of yourself out of the Jeep while on the trail is nuts.

There's a gimpy fellow in the local club here who used to walk pretty normal until he thought he could stick his foot out to stop his Jeep from going over. He thinks another 3-4 months'll get his leg back up to snuff.

Yes, but the feeling of having the wind cool you nads while going down the road makes up for it. Did I say that out loud?

That's just plain crazy right there. Everyone knows that you're supposed to use the stiff-arm technique.

Not a fan of those foot pegs, by the way.

I admit I put my foot on the lower hinge when driving around town or on the highway, but never on the trail. As much as I dislike the peg, I would probably use it occasionally.

Other than that, I think it teaches a bad habit.

You're absolutely right! What was he thinking? At this point he says the pain from the grief we've given him has now passed the pain of the actual injury.

I have a set of pegs for my jeep.. I love having my doors off and then being able to stretch my leg and have a place to rest it outside of the jeep just makes it all worth while...

I had set my leg on the door hinge once when my jk was stock, I was on the highway and my cousin following me he has a LJ, saw my foot fall off the hinge he said that my foot was centimeters from getting ripped off. So then from there we would look for something to hold our legs on the hinge... He found a website that was making and selling pegs for jeeps.. But for $50 a pair was too much.
About a month later we were at JeepFest 07 in New Castle Pa. A jeeper who was in the King of Jeeps competition actually made several pairs of pegs and planned to sell them while he was there. My cousin and I jumped at the chance and each bought a pair for $20..

I think that I have pics but I will have to search. I'll post them as soon as I find them...

My buddy makes them in his barn, you can e-mail him to see if he can whip up a set for you. His name is George, and you can e-mail him at Rockrash4x4@aol.com .

I just keep "flashing back" to the movie Easy Rider...although at $20- $25, I too would probably buy em... and I KNOW I would use em. I have a manual transmission btw, but once I'm on the hwy in 6th gear...I'd love to dangle my doo-dads in the breeze!

I pity the oncoming driver that accidentally looks down the barrel of THAT ugly gun. "Mommy...guess what I saw today!" ugh!

Pegs to let you hang your legs outside the Jeep??? Bad Idea, Dude.

Keep all parts inside the Jeep at all times.

Or you'll have to change your name to Eileen.

A little bump for the RockRash4x4 foot pegs.... I picked up a set yesterday and really like them.

There has been a lot of "keep your body parts in the jeep" posts and I agree and will keep them in the jeep when going over obstacles and such. Just like to get comfy when cruising. Plus the "cool your nads" feature is a bonus.
