maybe this is a good read for ya to check-out

[edit: how the flakey , JK/JKU computer would handle a relatively simple conversion such as that is a whole other story, likely]

[edit2: dunno how I forgot the de facto source for conversion....http://www.gotpropane.com ]

Todd, found an article on conversion kit. What part of Costa Rica are you in? I've spent lots of time there with my wife. Our favorite place is the Osa Peninsula. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Whoops, just saw that Jeffery beat me to it.

Those articles were for converting carbureted engines, or generic in nature. I guess there isn't a kit for old JKs.

nah.not that I'm aware of , a kit , no. "Old JKs" , heh. That made me realize my '11 is an old Jeep ,now. F*ckin parts aren't ant cheaper ,
to be sure...

anyway, sorry.( Thinking out loud with my thumbs ,there)

it would be/ probably would not have been to shrude-bizwise- to release a kit for propane targeting SUVs ..my familiarity with/ propane rigs is from the local hard core crawler guys that run yota truggies w tanks hanging off a hollow ,thinned bed tilting almost inverted off some rock down near Chattanooga..SUVs and closed cabin Jeeps like the JK/JKU generally don't seem as prevelent to me for some reason

I would look into CNG kits.. might be easier and don't require a carb style injection system..
