2005 Grand cherokee misfire issue

A friend bought a 2005 grand cherokee with the 3.7 and it apparently has a cylinder 3 misfire and this apparently is a common issue for these.
While both my friend and are i aren't complete noobs when it comes to working on cars, we're not mechanics. Anyone have any suggestions on how to track down what could be wrong? We're obviously starting easy replacing plugs and coils and so on but we're not looking to chase ideas and replace everything until we find the issue.

Any help would be highly appreciated
