I know that they stopped making them about 3 or 4 years ago, but don't know if they ever started again. You still see used ones occasionally for sale. I'd rather have a Saiga 12.

That would be a SBS since it does have a stock, using the AR / M16 as its stock.

I have this, not much for bird hunting...but great for wasting ammo and having people at the range (especially the range master) look at you strange.

Yes, it is a registered DD (Destructive Device) as per the ATF....mine on a Form 4. (Just wanted to add that in before people started making comments or suggestions)

The AA12 posted above would be very fun. However, I don't beleive there was any made before the ban so none to transfer to civilians (I really hate the term civilians.) Even a semi auto wouldn't be allowed on the original design as they are an open bolt firearm and the Alphabet Agency won't allow open bolt design anymore.

Gotta' love the Alphabet Agency...get to make the rules up as they go.

I also don't believe they are even producing the AA12. However, with an SOT and a Law Enforcement Demo letter you could get one...but good luck on that.

Enjoying life!

From what I have read so far, the Sidewinder is a conversion kit..

The AA12 kicks major ass.. But illegal to own..

I have always believed that anything the Military owns.. A US Citizen can own..

My buddies got a Saiga conversion with a 20 rd drum, a blast to shoot. I'll get a picture of it this weekend at our local 3gun match and post it up.
