Go to your sound bar and pull the covers off and the speakers. Look at the color code. Which one is positive and which one is negative. As long as you do not have an amplified system, the same color wiring will be in the plug. You can also do the fronts. All you are doing is retrieving a signal from the output of the radio. A positive and negative on the left and positive and a negative on the right. The only problem with using a stepdown or converter is you just don't have total control over your amp.
