Tweeter Install Help

I have Kicker components DS6.2 to install into the jeep. I have the stock system with no amp. My question is, is it correct to just cut the wires from the back of the harness and run them to the crossover and install the tweeters and mids or do I need to run and amp and install them that way, or can I just cut the stock tweeter harness and connect the new tweeter? I just want to make sure that I am hooking them up correctly. I have done my research but was not able to find an answer to my question with a non infinity system.

Take the input for the woofer in the dash and connect it to the input on your crossover.

Then from the crossover connect your Kicker woofer and tweeter to the crossover via their respective outputs.

Just tape off the stock tweeter wires.

H.I.I.k thanks for the response.

Just to make sure I got this correct. The wires that I will be using are:

Front Left:
Gray/Violet
Gray/Yellow

Front Right:
Dark Green/Violet
Dark Green/Yellow

As for the input for the woofer in the dash to the crossover, do I unplug these wires from the back of the front speaker housings and then connect them to the input on the crossover or do I take these wires above from the headunit harness and connect them directly to the crossover? Then do as you said hooking up the woofer and tweeter from the crossover.

Either way would work really but to make things easy on yourself I would just use the wires at the back of the housing.
