MyGig with Uconnect update

So I got an email this morning from Harman Becker that they should be releasing the updated MyGig software "within 2 weeks" that has the Uconnect features enabled for the Wrangler.

Fingers crossed.

Do you know if there are any special mic requirements for this update?

You'll need a "factory" mike - it's apparently all being released as part of an upgrade kit.

MY Gig software update... not sure if this is old news or not

This is the link to the software that is suppose to come out.

http://jeep.i-thrash.net/bin/mygig/NTG4_9.561.zip

The file is quite large, 362.2MB and will take some time to download. Unzip the files to your Hard drive and burn them to a quality CD data disc:

1. Data Disc name needs to be NTG4_9.561

2. Root directory MUST contain only one folder and two files:

BECKER (folder)
CD_INFO.CDI
CONFIG.CDI

Load the CD in your MyGIG and the update will autostart once the disc is recognized. The update will take approximately 10 minutes or so and progress is displayed on-screen. Owners assume all risk and responsibility if they perform this update.

.....
9.561 is the current version. The new version is going to be 9.665 or higher. I expect we will see it on the net before the end of the month.

KThrash already has 9.665 and has been running it for a few weeks.... but I'm not sure if it has the dealy to activate the uconnect since he has the NavTv stuff. I have a feeling the update will be out in a week or so and will be the one that will activate the uconnect and there will be options on where to get the mic.

If not, I'll source the parts from the POS I got from ART and get a better designed one made.

Artís went up to $95. Iím thinking $50 is a fair price for a mic and if he had been upfront about what he is really selling I would have ordered one from him.

I just want a cheap solution to something Jeep left off the vehicle and it looks like itís coming soon

Any help or advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
