Early Fathers Day Gift

Yesterday evening my lovely wife said, lets take a ride to Circut City, I thought she wanted to look at something for the house, short Story, She bought me an Early Father's Day Gift. Got out to the JK, stuck it to the winshield, plugged it in, typed home address & WoW, what a piece of equipment.
Wish we had these things in the "Nam", we were always lost using this thing...U.S. military Lensatic Compass

If it's anything like my older Garmin it will be a great product. In my opinion you can't beat a Garmin.

I have the 260 for a couple of months now and love it.

I have used it both at home and on business in the States and has worked flawless. Finds everything I needed food, shopping.

If you go on to the Garmin website, you can get a Jeep Icon to replace the car on the display.

I've had the nuvi 660 for about a year now. We took it to California when I first got it. I could not believe how easy it was to navigate though San Francisco using it. It has had a couple of errors, but they have been fairly minor. The biggest one was in Denver, where they had done some construction. The unit was not aware of it. The nicest thing about these units is that if I do miss a turn, the wife does not yell at me anymore. That Garmin's job now

Is the 660 one of the ones you can get the attachment that gives you traffic updates?

Has anybody used that traffic update deal? i am curious if it works well enoough to get.

If I do get one it would be nice to get one the NOAA weather updates too but I just don't know if I can justify the cost. I have a handheld GPSmap 60CSx that I am more then happy with but I would kinda like one with a larger screen mounted inside the cab that I can see driving. I just don't know if I really need more then one GPS... I am getting tired of wanting stuff lol

Done,....thx LSM, Jeep looks way better than that blue CAR. Had to run up Rad Shack & get a mini usb cable. So far this thing is just awesome, soooooooooooo easy to use. Speedo is right on with my JK speedo....so my bigger tire flash worked.

No, that is is 680. It think that would be a real nice feature to have sometime though!

BTW, is anyone having trouble with their windshield mounts? I could never get mine to stick to the windshield for more than a couple of hours. And when I popped the unit out to store it out of the sun, the mount would always come off too. I finally bought one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Portabl..._sim_e_title_3

If the dash is clean, it stays in place most of the time except under hard breaking. It makes it a lot easier to move from vehicle to vehicle too.

I have experienced the same problem with the suction mount. I bought the friction mount to use. Had to use it in California as the window suction mount is not legal to use. I wasn't going to find out how sticky the police are on that little item.

A few Pic's of my Garmin 260W

I had it on the windshield & you guys that had trouble sticking, I didn't, I actually had a hard time getting it off. I had a round plastic disk that come with the package that enables me to mount on dash, way better location. You'll see this stick-on plastic disk under my suction mount.

My view:

See my Wrangler Icon on screen

Don't no what to do with this little guy now...

You could mail it to me...... or simply take up Geocaching because you need the handheld for that because a lot of places you walk into.

She mentioned Mothers Day, then she said "Handcuffs, Leather Chaps, Whip & Dancing", I'm still wondering what she meant by that..

Get a GPS & you'll NEVER be lost again...I like to make it mad at me, I'll make wrong turns on purpose just so I can here it get more firm with the correction...
