A day in the mud...

I'm having a pond built on my land and I thought I would share the joy of ignorance with ya'll.I can honestly say I had nothing to do with this, although I have been known to do the same.Anyhow,my dad and brother were riding the 4 wheeler around the swampy end of the pond site and got stuck. My brother thought since a high hoe was available,he would use it to get the 4 wheeler out(it wasn't that stuck). As he drove the tractor into the swamp,it didn't take long to realize he wasn't going to make it back out.Well, after a Cat 330 and about two hours of digging, the day finally came to an end,or so we thought. To add injury to insult, the low boy that brought the 330 got stuck and then blew a tire. Finally, here are the pics...

I don't know the thought of drain the deisel and leave it as a fish attractor never crossed your mind? All in all you are lucky you got it back out now pressure wash it and make sure it still runs good.

So I'm guessing but that had to be about 6 feet under. That mud looks very thick and I bet it will take some time to clean it up. I was thinking you might want to just drive it into a lake next to get all that mud to come off.

One other thing. This goes to show what I have always said about mud some mud is not the same as other mud. It looks like he found one of those deceptive bottomless holes that look like the surrounding mud. I always laugh at folks who say how do you drive through mud. Mud is the hardest thing to look at and judge properly.
