Yeah, the price keeps going up. Depending on where you are looking for trails, you are usually better off buying the Wells books for the area (you may notice that trails.com actually just uses excerpts from various trail sources, many of which are Wells books) or check out www.traildamage.com for free info. Though these are fairly southwest specific.

ya but if you zoom in in the area you want to look at. it will still show you all the trails for free:beer:

If you are looking for some nice maps go to www.mytopo.com and customize a map for any area you want. You can even preview the finished product before you buy and save it as a .jpg image. I've purchased several maps for exploring the forests of Northcentral PA. I get mine printed on the waterproof synthetic paper and they hold up to anything.

Where can you find the Wells books you are speaking of? Sounds interesting. A google search didn't come up with anything useful.

They refer to the book "Wells book" because the Author is Charles Wells a great guy BTW.

According to that site there really isnt anything in my area other than hiking trails! That sucks.
