I posted this on www.jacked-up-jeepclub.com - if you wanna meet up up there - let's do it....

I am going to Ginnie Springs next weekend. I am gonna head up there around 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. A guy I've been bull****ting w/ for years on jeep forums (V8Wrangler on this board) is going to be there doing some scuba diving w/ his buddies and I love going there anyways - so I am heading up there. It is a fun place. I plan on snorkeling the springs and maybe floating along the Santa Fe - we'll see.

If you wanna go - lemme know. If it's just 2 or 3 of us - we could go in my minivan. If it's more - we could caravan. If you haven't been to Ginnie springs - it's fun. Here's a link:

We should camp there sometime. Maybe in the Fall when it starts getting cold.

A couple of pics from Ginnie Saturday. The water temp was about 73 and the little one had a ball. She floated on the tube like she had done it all her life. She stayed in for about 30 minutes before her lips started to tremble. She never acted otherwise like she wanted to get out.Anyhow,it was a great day for diving and hanging out.We had a ball and I highly recommend it to anyone that has never been.

I was at Ginnie last weekend, but didn't do any tubing....I am a cave diver.

Anyway.. I have only dove at Ginnie & never done the tubing or other recreational things...may have to actually do that one of the weekends we are diving.

As in what route in the cave?

Our Sunday dive:
Well, followed the main line to the rollar coaster, went to the end of that line jumped over to the short line between rollar coaster and hilliar tunnel, from that jumped to hilliar tunnel took it back around to gold line, gold line to the 1800ft marker just past stage bottle rock...reversed all that picking up our jumps. Then went from the main line jumping over to the bone room / white room line (whatever you want to call it) then jumping to the expressway line taking it to the end, reverse that course picking up our jumps.

We had just over a 3 hour run time counting our deco. Sidemounted 108's w/32% & two AL72 stages w/32% deco gas 100%.

Oh man I miss Ginnie Springs! I was down in Georgia from 92-96 and had a great time floating down the river. Never got to dive the spring, but it sounds awesome. The wife and I do enjoy the diving here in Hawaii though. If ya'll ever come this way, let us know and we'll take you wheelin.

Roland.
