I posted up a ride request on Jacked up but I think those guys are still in a daze from Jeep Beach. Night run to Richloam Saturday night anyone? Shouldnt be dusty and shouldnt be flooded (yet).

I will try to check it out this week(maybe tonight) but it has been raining out there quite a bit. It will be muddy! You know I'd be there if it was not for other plans;)

Oh I expect it to be muddy...but Richloam doesnt turn into a giant lake til around late June typically. Ive seen a few posts on FJOA from last weekend and there's mud to be had. Entrance to Cabbage Head was dry - usually a good indicator of how Richloam is gonna be right there.

Watermelon and Tobe are usually fun too. Be really careful in the pit at 107(?)(off Center Grade) Someone tossed a log in there. Some of the holes are super deep, Folks have been playing in what mud is left, one has been dug out to my roof line....

I did not have my map and the trail marker could not be read so I am not sure what trail it was. I can tell you it was left off the powerlines a little past FT 75. The mud was FT 102 off Center Grade. There were several gators but the one in the pic was on the powerlines. It never left the mud, just swam around the Jeep so watch it.

I made it thru that one. The one you see the Jeep in, when water came up to the hood I backed out.

We'll see how Cabbaghead goes. I know the two mud holes on the end of the road near the main grade I avoid. Those things are horrible year round.

You guys are nuts. Are you allowed to shoot alligators? I'd be afraid to get stuck and have to get out in waste deep water filled with fawking alligators. No thank you. :shaking:

from what Ive seen on FJOA - the forest is going to be BUSY saturday. Multiple jeep clubs and a lot of rides organized individually.

We had a good run. Only 4 jeeps - 2 Jks and a 2 TJs. One TJ got high centered in a mudhole that had a nice sized cottonmouth swimming around in it lol. Other than that - no other stucks but quite a few near misses. There's some serious water out there. Snorkels sound like a better n better idea especially since they were using my Jeep as the depth finder. We chased alligators down the roads. They'd swim away as we came up on em. Kinda neat to look out your window and see an alligator swimming along w/ you.

Was a good ride. Richloam is kicking. I think pics will be around in a day or two - they were snapping some.

I would estimate that probably 50-100 jeeps went out to richloam today (including our 4 jeeps tonite). Word is that a deuce and a Pinz are still out there (very very stuck in deep water). Here are some pics they snapped earlier in the day (good pics I thought):

Im waiting...I didnt shoot them. It was a night run - so they wont be great. It was a classic badass ride in a swamp though - freaking snakes and gators EVERYWHERE.

OK...tame video but it does give you an idea of what the trails are like. Must be from right when we got on the trail cuz there's still some light:

The slackers I wheel w/ suck at posting pics lol. Only one I liked was my rig AFTER the ride:

Good slideshow of the military rigs out there riding in Richloam this weekend:

I think 1 or 2 of them are STILL stuck.
