They better drop Hemis in them or they'll never catch anybody.

LMAO- Very true. The term "recreational pursuit" comes to mind.

Perhaps the point is to NOT catch them....

At least they get to cruise around in JKs

They will sure as hell be having more fun in the JK's as opposed to what they used to drive....

(I really wanted to snap a few pics of the interior, but I wasn't about to jump up on the trailer to take a look.)

If you go down to the prison on 95 between bastrop and elgin you will see a bunch of them. thats where they store them before they ship them out to their locations. There are usually a bunch of BP vehices down there....you have to turn on Pershing and you can usually see them on the right.

I saw a truck of them on I-8 heading to San Diego 3 years ago but never seen any pics of them in use.

Funny...being out of work, I took the CBP test a couple weeks ago. Some of the guys saw me roll up and had all kinds of questions about my rig.

I see them about once a week - we are down in Diego and all over the border a lot. They have a new front skidplate they put on cuz there guys kept ripping the front bumper off.

Yep Chris, they like to ask questions. I raced him down the dirt road. See ya lol.

They have also recently bought some tube buggies.

There's a 2-door Rubi that sits at the check-point on I-15 going north just before Temecula.

drive down the border highway at night and you'll see a lot of them. I live on the west side up on the mountain and watch them chasing people up on the plateau. Quite fun.

I talked to one of the agents up at Elliot Mine (San Diego) a couple of weeks ago, he said they gave the Rubis to the check point guys. He was complaining about having to do his patrols in the pick-up, while they sit in Jeeps off the highway.
