MaRShiN 04-14-2009, 10:42 PM Upper Park in Chico, CA. Hella pretty up there. My dad's from Chico so we go there at least once a year and I get to take the same tour and hear the same stories each time! :D
Grant211 04-15-2009, 11:23 AM so North Cali is regular Cali and South Cali is Mexico. Right?
MaRShiN 04-15-2009, 12:59 PM Basically yes, Mexico and Hollywood :thefinger:

I
Mule'Con 04-29-2009, 10:42 AM I'm about 3-4hrs from the Sierra's. Keep me in mind for any Sierra runs. I'll be checking things out in tahoe on May 8-10, staying in a cabin in south tahoe. I'll be camping by Kirkwood Ski Resort (Silver lake) on June 19-23. After I work out some minor glitches, I'm ready for a visit to Loon Lake to play in the bowl.

Play in the bowl? When your that close just do it!!! The Rubicon Trail. Plans are in the works
MaRShiN 04-29-2009, 10:26 PM Never been on the Rubicon, but from what I was told on the Clawhammer run, it shouldnt be any harder than claw was. Also I guess its ALOT more scenic and actually has a little bit of trail between obsticals, where Clawhammer was pretty much BANG BANG BANG BANG done. REALLY looking forward to it.
Eugene 04-29-2009, 10:34 PM Wanted to go to the Hammers but couldn't. :bawling: Have done the Rubicon and there are bypasses for all the real narly stuff. It really wasn't that difficult and there is a lot of scenery between obstacles. Lets go:)
rubirobv 04-29-2009, 10:37 PM Eugene lets get workin on a Rubicon trip. Do you want to go out with Igofishin in July? I'll be there memorial weekend with my cousins ( room for more wheelers, just don't know if were camping on the trail, maybe) and fathers day weekend for the Hi-Landers poker Run. Camp fires were restricted around late july last year. Lets throw some dates around in the other post.
MaRShiN 04-29-2009, 10:39 PM I also got the California Trials - North Sierra Region while I was at 4WP today. ALong with the rock stuff Id also like to do some scenic, gold mine, old cabin kinda runs too. Thumbing through it now.

Thats definately worth doing. I'm always up for the historic, exploring stuff.
Eugene 04-29-2009, 10:50 PM I really want t do more wheeling camping. Doesn't necessarily have to be hardcore. Wheel awhile, set up camp that kind of thing. Last year they allowed campfires late into the summer in the southern Sierras. I'll make some inquiries. Everyone is welcome to come or chime in with ideas:grinpimp:
THECHAD 05-02-2009, 04:27 PM i'm in chico, i'd be up for some wheelin
