Anyone heading to Gilmer on the 15th? We have three of us heading out there and are all newbies. Any advice is appreciated and NEEDED!!

Prepare yourself to have a blast....

Anyone experienced going at all? If not you might try and find someone who is there when you get there. You can check at the registration desk to see if they know of anyone who is out there and may know what CB chann they are on. You can get a map and look at the ratings but I would have been LBS (lost bigger'n chit) if I didn't have folks with me who knew what they were doing. There are lots of trails that are just plain fun!! You'll have fun regardless - its just nice to let someone know your skill level and just fall in line. They might even find a big boulder for you to dent your lower side panel on... ( :) that one was my fault, it was pre-sliders and I knew better). there is plenty to do and the tough trails have bypasses if it looks like you are going to break something or if it is out of your level.

Was out there last weekend with a bunch of DFW guys. Had a blast!!
