: Calico, Icon Suspension Test
finishlinewest 03-01-2009, 06:22 PM Dr.Dirty, some friends and I ran Calico today. This was to test our new Icon suspension system Toyo M/T's and HiLift jack mount.
Our HiLift jack mount was thoroughly tested and passed with flying colors, no rattles and it was easy to get at anytime we needed it. The 35" Toyos walked, clawed and grabbed everything it their path to gain traction in places we went to purposely try to get stuck. The sidewall is angry!
The Icon suspension system performed flawlessly and we will be posting our pricing on this kit sometime on monday when we update our catalogs.
The freeway ride is unbelievably smooth and off road it rides like a trophy truck. even driving fast over rocks and loose shale you're never bumped out of your seat.
The flex on this kit was as good or better than the RE long arm kit we installed on Dr.Dirty's jeep a few weeks ago.
I would recommend this system to anyone looking to buy a long arm kit as it is relatively easy to install (4 hours) and no gangster lean no matter how much fuel is in the tank.
A good time was had by all.

My 2 cents, just a comment, always keep arms and body parts secure inside the vehicle @ all times.:thefinger:
finishlinewest 03-01-2009, 06:32 PM if i dont have my arm out the window how can i keep my jeep from laying its side? :grinpimp:

finishlinewest 03-01-2009, 06:42 PM 28 years of wheeling, i'm good. thanks though. really. we were testing products and not moving when the photos were taken, it is hard to see what is going on outside your vehicle without looking out the window and occasionally hanging out the window to get a feel for whats going on.

Prope 03-02-2009, 07:42 AM Nice! That is the suspension I put on my Rubi 8 days before it got hit and totaled by a snow plow... biggest dissapointment was that I never got a chance to try the suspension out on the trail! I would have pulled it all off before the flatbed came to get it but we had tons of snow on the ground and the jeep was not moveable so I just left it go. Thanks for the pics!
