can you take one of these blanks out, maybe pry out with a screw driver without breaking it? I was thinking of putting a hole in one to install a kc light switch and run the wires in there to the switch is this something that can be done without alot of trouble?

What does everyone else do without buying the nice little switch box,I figure not everyone spends that money.

IIRC that's a whole pod and you can't remove one panel to add anything to it

Correct, there is a pc board in there behind the blanks. There is no way to mod without killing the entire panel.

I think your only option would be finding the whole unit out of a Rubi and wiring one of the buttons to what you want it to do.

will be easier and cheaper to just put a switch somewhere else.

Hopefully AlecW will read this post and post a pic. If you don't want to buy a switch panel you can add switches to the empty spot between the vents like he did. IO think it is the best looking job I have seen without adding a panel

This is what I did for switches. Pretty cheap.

Although I have power windows, I also put a couple of switches between the vents like Alec W. I'll post pics when I get home.

If you wanted to explore the possibly of modifying the switch panel you can buy that panel from Quadratec for ~$30.

I'm about to do the same thing. Does this panel just pop out or are there some hidden screws somewhere?

Thanks
