I know its difficult for Jason to post from the frozen tundra of Alaska and since our calendars are filling up quickly with events I thought I would post this up for him now so we can all make plans to be there.
The "Hummer X Club" is the official sponsor, but the event is open for all wheelers... somehow I think there will be more Jeeps than Hummers there. :smokin:
I met Mark from Hummer X Club at the last WFTW get together and himself as well as his gang are all outstanding people and it was a pleasure wheeling with the Hummers.

Thanks for the post Hit. I've been slacking.
For anyone interested, Mark from HummerXClub was originally running this event, but had something come up for the event weekend. He may or may not be able to make it. Venture Jeeps, which is myself and a buddy, are taking what is already planned and working it from here.
We are planning a pre-run event in a few weeks to get a walk through from the HR owner.
The main reasons will be to map out the entire park, mark the trails according to difficulty and let Jason test out Big Bertha since the addition of all the latest mods.
If anyone here is interested in coming I urge you to hit up http://www.wheelersforthewounded.com/index.htm and go to the Florida section. This way we get a better idea of how many people/clubs will be coming. I know at the last event we had around 50-60 Jeeps and Hummers.
I'll keep you posted as the details are worked out.
Edit to add, the contact info above is for Mark(HummerXClub) and Tim(Venture Jeeps)
The latest word I got was that Mark is very busy and is slow in his response. Tim(above) and myself can be used for POC's. You can hit me via PM, or Tim via email for any questions.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around as much...been CRAZY busy getting things sorted out with the program now that it's less than 2 months away from the kickoff. It's not helping that I'm all the way in Alaska...need to get my butt back to Florida!
Anyhow, there are a few small charity events I'm trying to work out in the Jax area (bikini car washes), trying to get the Jeep and trailer up to par, trying to plan for the 6 months I'll be out on the road, and trying to keep up with something like 25 main events...it ain't easy. The program has taken off like a rocket over the past 2 months. Aside from adding more events, I have also picked up more sponsors. I'm regularly contacted by wounded service members from around the country who thank me for what I'm doing, so that makes it all worth it.
I hope you all will be able to make it to the Hard Rock event. Besides food, trail rides, a rock garden, and entertainment, we're sure to have a good time. Plus, the more vehicles that show up, the better the vets will know how much we appreciate them.
For those of you down south, the WFTW Jeep and trailer will be on display at the West Palm Beach International Boat Show at the end of March. Although it's a "boat" show, they have high-end vehicles there as well (Ferraris, Lambos, etc). Will be funny to see my Jeep parked next to those little things. :D If you go, be sure to stop by and say "hi." I'll be the skinny dude polishing his Jeep with a diaper. hahaha! :D
The Jeep and trailer are coming along nicely thanks to Brad (Overbuilt Customs), Nick (H8T2W8T) and Tim (Venture Jeeps). They are the true definition of friends. Below are 2 quick pix of where things stand with them right now.
THANKS and I hope you're all doing well! See you soon!
I'm there. I've been busy as ever getting my rust bucket trailer up and running.

Nick...can't wait to see what you've done to the trailer!
BTW Dennis...like the blue on the axle.

I'm torn about taking the top and doors off again:bawling: The forecast looks crappy but I wanna roll topless and pants down:D
I guess we'll see what happens:laughing:
The trailer:shaking:---I'm still working on my ghetto single wide. (11:04pm the night before roll out) And I have to hope the 1966 tires hold out for the trip:bawling: Wow, now that I type it, I really see how "fun" this could be...
I just wired my old camaro battery for the tent power. And now that I have a trailer, I have nothing to put in it. HAHA. My spare won't even fit:shaking:

I just loaded up my trailer today...still have a few things to do in the morning, but nothing that will delay me.
We'll all take a look at the trailer, I'm sure we'll come up with some cool stuff you can add to it. :D
As for weather, it's supposed to rain in the morning, then clear up and be sunny. Saturday should be nice, but there may be a little rain Sunday afternoon. You could always throw on the biniki top and loose the front doors. It's a Jeep...a little water's not going to hurt anything. I speak from experience seeing as how my Jeep had about 2 inches of water in it when it poured down rain the other night. Thank goodness for drain plugs. :D

I'm exhausted but had a great time at Hard Rock this weekend. Fortunately the weather was terrific...not a single drop of rain! :D
I posted pictures at the below link. If any of you know people from the clubs in attendance, please pass the link onto the so they can copy and past the pictures I took if they want them.
By the way...HitMoney's 2-door JK wheels WAY better than his 4-door!!! That thing went everywhere others went and is bone stock. Of course, it would have difficulty on the rock garden and in deep mud, but on the trails with hill climbs, tight squeezes, and sharp turns, it was king. He even let his girlfriend drive it and she did quite well!

Jason - here are a few pics I took of the group - we (MFJC) had a terrific time out there today! The weather and scenery were great. Never been back in the roller coaster section - that was very cool.
Safe travels over the next few months!

Jenna and I had a blast with the "LiL Jeep"!!
It is absolutely what these things are capable of in stock form, well wheels and tires...
I haven't uploaded the pictures yet but here are a couple vids of Jenna wheeling for the first time... She ended up doing every obstacle on the main side! :smokin:

Coming out.. she got it a lil high centered, but eventually got it out without a tug.

We had a great time! What a great event Jason and his crew put on. His Jeep is massive, Nicks looked as great as usual and Hitmoneys Lil' Jeep was the Jeep that could! That thing went everywhere. Here's all the pics http://s195.photobucket.com/albums/z148/rooster5333/Hardrock%20WFTW%2009/
