Hey!

Anyone find or know of Winter tires in 37" size? Or at least near 37"...

I mean real legal winter tires with the snowflake icon on the side...
Studdable or not.

Looks like I can't find any on the main manufacturer's websites...

Thanks!

Bet you will never find them larger than 35"..Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac

Duratracs are the only real ones that come to my mind as well with the snowflake/mountain symbol and biggest they come is 35's. I know Canadian Tire has the Goodyear Territory exclusive to them and it has the snowflake/mountain symbol. You may get lucky with the sizing...but more than likely the biggest is also 35's in that line.

Thanks guys, I'll look them up...

Also FYI most tire companies start making some "All season" tires with the snowflake...
They are like the rain tires with big threads to evacuate the water on the side but built for snow...
Good option to run on the street in the summer and good for winter...

BFG T/A KO

They have the snowflake??
On BFG's website they do not list this tire as Winter tire...

They only have 2 Winter tires...

Commercial T/A® Traction
Truck Tires, Winter Tires
WINTER TIRE

And

Winter Slalom® KSI
Winter Tires, Everyday Tires
WINTER TIRE

They are an all season all terrain tire.
I have them on my pickup and they are great on ice and snow.

Michelin and Hankook are the only ones I know that have the snowflake but they don't make anything bigger than 275/70

In Quebec we must have real legal winter tires with the snowflake icon starting fall/winter 2014.
If I buy some now, I want them to be "2014 proof"...

ah Canada! that is different, I've got a buddy in Ft. McMurry. he is having a hard time fitting tire for his Tacoma.

Dunlop rover mt maxx traction.......

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=Rover+M%2FT+Maxx+Traction

They are only showing a 22in dia tho.........I thought they made them in 17 and 18in.......

The BFGs are rated for severe snow. they have the snowflake symbol on the 37x12.50 x17

I doubt that the Sūrete or Municipal police would take a closer look for a snowflake symbol if there is a M/T tire installed but understand that it could cause complications with insurance in case of an accident.
I highly doubt that you will find an officially snow&Ice rated tire above 35".

Agreed.

but understand that it could cause complications with insurance in case of an accident.

That's my point... And also my own safety...
Mud Terrain are ok in snow but fock all on ice...

I highly doubt that you will find an officially snow&Ice rated tire above 35".

Exact. As of now I dont think it exists...
Excapt the Dunlop mentionned above but they're R22...

I know tire companies are starting to make "All season" tires but with the snowflake...
Same principle as rain tires... Specially for pickup truck with large tires...
Could be a good solution.

I know my Blizzak were incredible on ice but they were kinda small (for my Cherokee)...

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=All-Terrain+T%2FA+KO

go to tirerack.com, look under specs for the AT or the description.....

NOTE: While most BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements (and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol), selected tires do not. Specific tires/sizes not meeting the industry's severe snow service requirements are identified with a "Not Rated For Severe Snow" notation on the Sizes & Pricing, as well as on Specs.

Related Information:
What is the mountain/snowflake symbol?

and you can google the Dunlop and they do make a 37 in an 18in dia tire..........

Ok, so apparently thew new owners have decided to hijack links to TireRack and redirect them to Autoguide. I'm sure TireRack will be please to hear about this restraint of trade.

How can they not be aware? They either did this on purpose or the site's been hit by a virus that only targets TireRack. And I've not heard of the latter.

Hey Guys,

This is done intentionally as per our relationship with Tire Rack. This happens on all of our sites.

Thanks,

The links are still transmorgrified, but at least the autoguide site is now forwarding to TireRack. Before the link dumped you out to AutoGuide and left you there.

It's a slimy, underhanded way to track potentially valued customers. But at least its TireRack that's apparently doing the sliming, not you guys. I prostrate myself at your feet and beg forgiveness. Or some shit like that.

Yeah it's a conspiracy, put on your tin foil hats man! :shaking:

Turns out that it was, but not a top secret one. And your statement implies that I ever take off my tinfoil hat.

I had 35/12.5-16.5 BFG KO on my K5 and they had the triangle with the snowflake, but the BFG KO on my F250 Service truck do not have the rating. Both stick to a sheet of ice on the highway like velcro, but both suck in deep snow.
