I installed mine that i won @ the JK summerfest I will say install took all of 5 mins the mount is solid the jack its elf makes noise LOL but a goor rubber bungee cord took care that :D i do have a HI lift mount on my rear tire carrier but i like having the jack in the JEEP

you could use longer bolts and drill a hole in it and use the suicase locks

i just tightend the piss out of mine and used NUts instead if the wing nuts so if someone wants it they are gonna need a wrench :D

I like it, it keeps it out of the rain and rust free. Keeping the brackets on with bolts should keet it yours, its not like we all dont carry a wrench or two.

Ummmm...unusual winch mount. :D

Although I have not used this product, I have used this mounting technique using homemade stuff (insert Beavis and Butthead giggle here) with much satisfaction for two reasons:
1. It keeps your jack inside the top (hard or soft), so less dust and muck.
2. It keeps the weight farther forward than hanging out on your rear bumper.

Im sure theyd sell it to you without the tap but the tap is included in the price and its never a bad thing to have an extra tap laying around :):beer:

Hey Crash i just wanted to say Thank you for your support of JK summerfest you guys rock

I've been looking at your hi lift mount for a while, but have a problem. I have a 2 door, and have a 10# Powertank on my drivers side rear roll bar, so I can't use that spot for your mount.

My question is: Is it possible to use your mount on the horizontal part of the roll bars? The best way to describe what I am thinking of - the hi lift would be above the back seat, behind the sound bar. I took my back seat out a while ago, and have no plans to put it back in, so no one will be sitting under the jack if it can be mounted there.

By the way, your JK is awesome looking! I was wheeling with RDY4RKS at the 4WD run (the same day as the RC Rocs competition), and saw your JK in the parking lot on my way out. I liked what I saw - several of your goodies have made it onto my wish list!

nope its only threaded on the front side where the seat bely bolt goes thru

the back needs to be threaded

the whole installation took all of 25 mins :D

How the heck did a 3/4'' long bolt in the roll cage hit an Evap line three feet away under the jeep?:shaking:

Mounted mine last night. My only problem is, I have the cheaper Hi-lift jack with the stamped steel base, and I can only use one bolt on that end to mount it. I was gonna drill a hole for the second mounting bolt, but it looks like if I did, I would wind up drilling through the locating tab on the base that keeps the jack from pivoting front to back on the base. Anyone else have this problem?

The stamped steel base does require an extra hole to be drilled in the base to use both bolts on the foot.

I would recomend switching to the cast steel base that comes on the better Hi-Lift's. If you call Hi-Lift they can hook you up. They are a great company to deal with and build their stuff right here in the USA.:beer:

I think I might try that. As it sits now, I think if i tryed to drill a second hole in the base for the second mounting bolt, it would be to close to the jack itself. Right now I just have one bolt holding it in on that end.

It does not impeed the raising or lowering of the soft top as long as you face the jacking foot down.
