I am on my second top from them under warranty and it didnt last as long as the original. At first everything was fine then I dont know what happened 2 months later the fabric gave up the ghost. The original top without exaggeration would hold like 5 gallons of water I would have to get in and push the top up. The second one was too tight at first and I barely got it on, now that the sun has worked on it for 2 weeks its quickly getting to be the same way as the original. The second top also leaks air bad and the area above the rear doors will not stay fastened. I just got with PhilD at Trail Duty and ordered an Off Road Heros fast back its a little more money but I would have saved if I had bought it first.

Another vote for ORH. Much better product and more versatile, in that you can take the back off in < 5 minutes. Iím using mine year round in Colorado, sun, snow, ice, rain and itís working out great.

does this top roll to the front of the vehicle or to the rear? and if i get the combo can you use the back seat with the wind jammer in?

from what Phil was telling me you will have to fold the rear seat down and the top rolls to the front

from the looks point of view with teh top rolled forward does it look goofy? does it hide away pretty well?

The top rolls to the front.. Ive been 70+ miles an hour on the highway with no problem rolled up.

Unfortunately the rear seat must be folded down and rear seat belt discoed to run SUT style. I also do not recommend running SUT style in really wet weather as water likes to pool a bit on the back cover and then run in through the velcroed rear roll bar openings. It is only a problem when parked in the rain, not while you are moving, but when the water does come in it goes straight for the rear cubby hole.

I love this look the best though, and since I normally don't have anyone in the rear and the seat is always folded anyway for more cargo space it works out for me during the winter dry months here in Florida.

The slant back style is weather proof, I have no leaks.

I think it looks cool rolled up, but it is a subjective thing. I don't quite understand what you mean by "hide away"? The main top rolls up and is not completely removed to go topless which beats having to store a header any day.

From what I understand and to Bestop's credit it seems they have redesigned the TrekTop so that it uses a rear channel bar that the top velcros to.. this could be good or bad as it is just another long bar you are going to have to store along with the header to go topless but it will make the tailgate easier to operate while the top is up. I understand they may have also addressed the TrekTop's inability to be tightened in its current form which will help out alot with that top and the swimming pool that forms on top of it as well as tightening it once it stretches out.

I may get a rear channel bar for the trektop and incorporate it with the ORH top. I think all it does is let you velcro the top to the bar instead of the tailgate allowing for the door to be opened without undoing the velcro.

At the end of the day, I am completely happy with my ORH top and would choose it again over the Trektop mainly because of the versatility of it and the fact of not having to store a header to go topless.

Hope this is of some help... I am sure you will be happy with either of them as long as you get the updated Trektop. Do Not get the first design Trektop.

well when i say hides away it doesn't just look like this big rolled up mess on the top of your jeep. but i guess if you get a nice light bar it will tuck away behind it and wont look like this giant burrito on top of the jeep
