I have been to this event for the last 2 years and now its moving back to truck haven and or truck haven style trails. It was a nice blast from the past as I started on 3 wheelers out in Ocotillo OHV park when I was 7! I actually said to myself that I am only doing Moab but now am thinking of attending due to the low price of fuel!

Being that the trails are different maybe enough reason to go! I have gone for the last 2 years and I was more impressed the first year and last was soso likely because of the simple trails picked out. Maybe a get-to-gether is in order?

I am thinking about camping at Octollio wells, it should be nice and open there plus there are showers.

We have an RV, so we have showers. Ocotillo is too far to travel every day and the wheeling around ocotillo sucks.

Camping everywhere, don't think there are showers except at Ocotillo. Get a Zodi shower, great portable shower for camping.

weather.com said chance of rain sat and sun but not anymore. Clear skies and sunny whole weekend. Can't wait. we should make a general meet area for everyone on here and do a run together on sun.

For instance Sunday 9:00 main road just before the hill. Maybe we can all cruise a run together for a couple of hours. I think that would be cool. Huge line of nothing but jk's make a great pic anyway.

LOL. I completely understand. I'm usually the same way, but I had to go and check this event out at least once in my life. Mission accomplished. Now back to serenity.

CD you really should have stayed. The Thunderdome at sundown was awesome! LOL. Nice meeting all the new peeps.:beer: Let's get a run going - soon! I put some pics up in trail reports...

I had a great time. There was a bad roll over on Obama (blue trail before checkpoint 4) It happend about 4-5 vehicles behind me. Didn't see anyone from here, I was driving my Samurai. The slot at night was a mad house. Things like that are what is going to shut down our trails. I think there was just as much alcohol as there was dust.
