I think I would be game for such a trip. (That is if I can convince the wife to let me take the Jeep out on a trail again (seems that every time I take it out now, it ends up broken in the garage or the shop) am I playing too hard?).

I have done this run. Its a long drive up there. I have to see whats up with the family first.

Weather.com is showing rain all week, and 60 percent change on that Sunday. Better find your waterproof boots.

405 Seems like a long way around! I understand though, the 5 is like its own off road trail, but there isn't any traffic on an early sunday morn'. The park & ride is easy off at Magnolia (From N/B 5 turn left on magnolia)(From W/B 91 turn right on magnolia) it's on the left. It's the E/W strip of asphalt in the center of the map/pic. S/W corner of mag & Orangethorpe.

I'm pretty disappointed. :pissed: This kinda thing is the story of my life! Make a plan, book a gig. But in my line of work "you make hay when the sun shines". Someday I will have enough money to retire and wheel everyday!

I'm looking into the possibility of wrapping out Saturday in time to drive directly home by say 11 or midnight. That way I could still wheel & get paid on Sunday! :bounce:

It's right by the 5. Ocean side of the 5, there is a Wendy's, a car wash, and a gas station right there on the corner. It's a grind is behind the gas station.

I don't think I have ever been so pissed off while wheeling. We spent more time sitting still while pics were taken at every rock than we did actually driving. :shaking:

Sorry, I will not be on this run my co-pilot did a jump on his bike and decided to land on his face and not the wheels of his bike. I will be at home to make sure he takes it easy. He still wants to go to Glamis the day after Christmas NOT!!!!!!!!! :shaking: Bike riding NOT!!!!!!!!!!! :shaking: I will have to tie this rambunctious :bounce: teen down. We are all grounded until he heals. About 50 stiches by Dr Carli Plastic Surgen. Broken nose to. Don't know how much this is going to cost me?????? Moneys no issue I don't have any. That is the last of my worrys. I am concerned for my son.

I will see you all on the next run we just got back from the hospital and we are all spent physically and emotionally.

Lensman- Personal injury was at a minimum and although I consulted with a good attorney, he doesn't feel that legal council is warranted at this point ($350 an hour/ 10 hours minimum). The girl's insurance has sent adjuster to verify property claim. Jeep is not totaled (est damage = $11, 500). It is already under repair at one of the best facilities in Texas. Frame damage is very minimal and will be replaced if necessary. Majority of damage was to suspension/ lift. Parts have been ordered from Mopar, RE, and Skid-row. The girl had activated coverage only two weeks prior to accident and it is a "high-risk" agency to boot. I know where her car is at and will try and shoot (and post) some pics of the Crown-Vic tomorrow. Sent copy of police report to her insurance company last week as well. It indeed verifies that she was at fault (failure to yield right-of-way). I only want what is justified- no more- no less. Bodyguy (on jkowners) will be doing the suspension work as well as the axle tube gussets...as they were before the accident. Should only be a couple more weeks to finish, although it has a lot to do with parts availability. Thanks for the concern Lensman.

FWIW- Can't believe your son is already talking about wheeling Glamis....Not even started recovering, and already preparing for another adventure. Ahhh, to be that young and resilient again. my girlfriend asked if his nose was broken. I told her it looked like the contact was off to the side enough that it didn't look like it (and it still looks straight). Man he is going to have one he!! of a black eye(s). .

I just got back from a midnight snow run up Lytle Creek. Word of advice...DRIFTING SIDEWAYS IN THE SNOW WHILE IN 4-LOW DOING 4500 RPM IS A VERY BAD IDEA!!!!!

My driveline is vibrating worst than a porn stars toy collection! I knew something was wrong when I felt the tiny vibratin after my weekend in Calico last week. It took me 1:20 minutes to get home tonight and Lytle Creek is only 17 miles from my house. I can't make it tomorrow my peoples...I think I broke my transmission mount in turn bent my drive shaft...I hope it's nothing worst. I am happy this happened here and not 100 miles away in the desert tomorrow.

I know I'll be getting it for this...but I'll have to deal with PUDDLZ later...

Wow. What a great day. Took my camera and did not take any pics. I hope 4x4loyr gets home ok. We had to weld his track bar mount twice. JK mounts are POS.

Looks like a great time. Would love to have been there.

Just rolled in. A little under 5 hours to get home. The welds held fine -- the steering was a little flighty, but we stayed in the right lane and tried to keep a slow pace.

I didn't make it away without "damage." Driving into work this morning, got the infamous check engine light. At the dealership now, the code is P405 (EGR sensor). Not sure what the EGR sensor is or what it does, but no one here seems too worried about it AND it's under warranty... :grinpimp:

I have to say again: what a great day yesterday. Great to see Hundy again and to meet Michele. Great to see Greg and watch him roll right through that first obstacle (thanks to Hundy clearing the way :D). Thanks again to SDMF for setting this deal up: Roolbar and Chrome and Boon and all the guys from MJR (especially to the guy I followed the whole day, because he was showing me great lines!)

Glad to hear Ty and the boys got home. Maybe time for one of them there bigga track bar mounts...

The Jeep is out of the shop and the new Currie front track bar bracket is a huge upgrade over the cheap, thin metal of the orginal bracket. Did not cost an arm and a leg, either. I'll try and post photos later.
